[All] Where does the games head ?
Hi there community!
I love playing games over the internet ... and i also like Role-Playing ... and so I got into MMO - RPG gaming.
I mostly play free mmorpg as I never get involved so hard to stay at a game for long enough to start paying for it as most of present mmorpg stuff is heading toward hack'n'slash ...
I went through tens of mmorpgs and i've found only 2 interesting ones "Wurm Online" and "A tale in the desert" , they are both about being like "robinson cruzoe" which means being a single man capable of doing almost everythin :]
These two were fun as i could create buildings, tools and reform the world around me. Wurm online has a great community becouse of the fact that players there connect into villages and even cities which makes them socialise with others. BUT these were only games that really entartained me for a while, becouse of that creating possibilities which make you able to play as you wish.
Out there we see dozens of mmorpgs and "so called" mmorpgs which are games from asia mostly where there are many free games with great graphics and very straight mechanics. Even the beloved by many "world of warcraft" is just a hack'n'slash to be truth as what we have there is : creeping [ killing mobiles ],few types of quests [bring, colllect, kill, talk to] and tradeskills[blacksmithing etc] and quite easy gameplay which comes to everyone having same sets and skills at the end ...
And here comes my question : DOES A GAME WITH A GOOD GRAPHICS CAN NOT BE DEVELOPED TO ENTARTAIN PPL WITH IMAGINATION?:smurf: DO THEY ALL HAVE TO BE ABOUT CLICKING :2gunsfiring_v1:AND GETTING XP:drinks_no ??:punch:
Gosh ... Id rather prefer MUDs [Multi User Dungeons] that have no graphics but make you learn to type and learn english than the WoW ...
I'd like to hear your opinions about that future of MMO...
P.S.
I'd be glad to hear from anyone about some interesting [ even not mmo ] games ...
P.S. 2
I'd be glad to become a article writher on your site or a gm at your server as while I'm not a gaming maniac I like to help people, talk with them, hear their opinions, help them or just see how things [ games , sites ] work from the "scripting" side ...
Cheers.:jester:
