client shows select realm when logged in

when i start realmd.exe it opens and stays open and this is what i get

but the site says the realm is down

and when i login to the client its patch 1.12.X i get this after i login and get to the character create menu

Open your mangosd.config file...find this section:

# Data directory setting.
# Important: DataDir needs to be quoted, as it is a string which may
# contain space characters.
DataDir = "@MANGOSD_DATA@"

delete @MANGOSD_DATA@, leaving the quotations. Insert a period there.

Make it look like this: "."

Simply put, just delete the characters between the "" and replace with a period. No spaces.

ok did what u said and now when i run mangosdb.exe and realmdb.exe i get this

That appears to be a database problem...I would have to reccomend grabbing the 0.5.3 sdb changeset 10 and the other updates and use that.
See how this helps you =)

With sdb 0.5.3 changeset 10 you just need to get changesets 11-14 or whatever its up to now and execute those. I dont think you need to mess with the SQL folder in your mangos directory.

so just import sdb 5.3 changesets 10-14 into the mangos database

Not the changesets...import the whole .0.5.3 SDB changeset 10 FULL database. Then update with the newer changesets. (which are just patches) Delete your existing database first though, just highlight all the tables right click, and delete...you may wish to backup your accounts first though if you have any.
If you try to overwrite what you have you will just get more errors.

ok so this is just the mangos database or both mangos and realmd databases

I would keep both updated together...you would probably end up with character errors of some type if they arent up to speed with each other.
You could just do the mangos DB for now though and see if it works..if it works then update your realmd database as well.
