If your behind a router, you have to port forward, type in 192.0.0.1 in your address box, and you should find it, search google for port fowarding. You might have it blocked under windows firewall
k thx
when i type 192.0.0.1 in the adress bar it just loads and doesnt do anything..
Never ever open up port 3306 on router; you will give direct access to MySQL server (while only Mangos is supposed to connect to it, probably on localhost too)
then what do i do because ive made a server before, somthing happended and im re doing it right now..and before it worked perfectly fine
any one??
useing a firewall and secure port 3306 BUT !!
if u use the server on the same machine with mysql ... why do u have to do such stuff from router its sensless ...well in case u want to access ur db from a remote machine thats ok
can u post the error that you get, exactly how it is shown?
If you dont want to allow access to MySql then change the port number on the mangos server to a differnt port.
and depending on what your routers brand is is what you will use to connect to it. being
192.168.1.1 or what ever it might be.
btw the gateway on your computer when you do a ipconfig is normally the ip to access the router by
ok heres a pic of the error im getting..

sorry u cant really see the pic that well..
Click on the pic.
1) Do you have a firewall installed on your PC. If yes, disable temporary to perform the installation.
Read your firewall manual on how to open up the port 3306.
2) If you're install MySQL a second time around, remember to uninstall the existing MySQL program and manually delete the MySQL folder. If you don't delete the MySQL folder, you will receive the access denied error message when you try and install MySQL the second time.
what is your router type ? dlink , alcatel ,.....

yup thats right
umm my router is true mobile 2300 wireless router, and i just tried to delete old mysql stuff some of the stuff i cant tho it wont let me..
oki then you need to shut it down
ctrl+alt+del then you can shut it down , find the mysql-nt.exe
then you must delete everything of mysql 1) in confrugration/software there you delete mysql and Navmysql , then in folder c:/programefiles/, you delete folder mysql and navMysql , that wil do it
im gonna try to find a guid for you router
after that reboot your comp.
if your router is a dell true mobile 2300 wireless router then i think your ip for that router is 192.168.2.1 if it is dont forget to save that site so you have it all by the hand next time
and here is the guid for your router
that helps but whenever i type my ip adress in my web browser it always loads and then shows google and the search bar says my ip adress..??? wtf i cant get on my router website
yes i am typing my default gateway adress.. same thing is happening im searching it on my web browser and then it loads and shows it searched it on google but i didnt..
damn i think your computer is mest up a little :o)
normaly when you give for example 10.0.0.138 the router webpage must come , it cannot be that google shows , then there is a problem, so i think your computer is mest up little , so if you like to fix it , try going back with your systeem , a day that you think your computer was more stable than now , if that not change anything !? clean windows xp is the best option :o)
umm my comp isnt messed its perfectly fine, its new and i just installed 1gb ram yesterday soo..its fine
clean windows xp..??
