For example, a 'Normal' Guy posts a picture obviously showing a curved earth-surface. Flatso-guy says the earth is flat, and therefore the picture is fake (lol). Flatso goes on to post a picture obviously made in paint, and saying that that could just as well be the real earth.
Flatso also states that Normal Guy is stupid for not understanding that almost all first assumptions are correct, but the assumption that the earth is round isnt. right.
And then ofcourse it's not Flatso's fault that Normal Guy is stupid.
Further, Flatso thinks he's allowed to use the assumption that the Earth is flat as proof, but Normal can't use the assumption that the Earth is round as proof. uhuh.
Also noted that about 90% of the FlatEarth believers I saw there were American...

Why would you believe in something which has no proof whatsoever? That being said, most people on this world believe in higher beings (one or more Gods) and not one of them has actual physical proof of a god or gods existing in this world (or somewhere else?). People still believe it though. There are several reasons for this, reasons which you can all guess.
The only problem with the Flat Earth Theory is that NONE of them said that they have actually SEEN any of the theories they came up with. They just throw in an arbitrary reason for it being true. Some of them might actually believe those theories to be true, who knows =P
The difference with religion and this pile of crap is that people can have proof for themselves that there actually is a God. Take me for example. I believe in God. I know there is a God. I even feel lucky to actually know that he is there. I think I already mentioned this in a couple different topics on this forum (but still waiting to get a response to those =P). The problem is, I can't prove to you that there is a God, unless you actually believe it yourself -_- (if anyone wants an explanation to this, feel free to send a PM). The other problem is that this topic isn't about religion. So I'm going to stop talking about it right here. I just wanted you guys to know that this Flat Earth Theory is a pile of crap, even compared to religions (in my opinion anyways).
Anyone found a topic in there to talk in? I doubt it would be a very good discussion though, they'd probably counter anything we say in there with one of their arbitrary theories (like 'acceleration of the earth is caused by Dark Energy'. I think that's what they said in the FAQ topic anyways. I also loved the turtle and elephant theory very much ^_^).

Lol, if the Earth is flat then many laws of physics e.g. universal gravitation wouldn't make sense.
I suppose they'd just add more "explanatory" theories to it, like they did with the whole "sun revolves around the earth" and adding extra "cycles" to agree with the movement of the other planets, but eventually they scrapped that and changed back to the "earth revolves around the sun" theory.

- The Earth, if it was flat to begin with, would collapse into a sphere under the gravitational force produced by its own mass unless it spun at extremely high speeds (the Earth does protrude slightly at the equator due to its natural rotation).
- If the Earth was flat, gravity would be uniform everywhere. This is not the case, it varies with latitude - lowest near the equator and highest near the poles.
