A memorial will be held for murdered schoolgirl Stacey Lee Mitchell whose body was found dumped in a wheelie bin at the back of a house in the Perth suburb of Lathlain.
Police yesterday used dental records to confirm the body, found in the bin at the Rutland Avenue home on Thursday, was that of 16-year-old Stacey Mitchell.
The community of Atwell, where Ms Mitchell lived, has organised a memorial service to be held at the local skate park on Wednesday.
Kathryn Thorpe is helping with the tribute.
"We've organised 16 balloons for her to, represent every year of her life basically and we've done a run around with money to buy a bunch of flowers for the funeral, plus a teddy and just a goodbye card," he said.
"A lot of people don't know how to deal with this sort of thing and I think it's a tragedy for every family, you know no one should have to go through what Stacey's family has gone through."
Two women aged 18 and 19 have been charged with wilful murder and will face court again in January.
