Well i am leaving in January for japan and i was wondering what i should purchase, at this point in time i will be taking over $540 AUS which equates to 50,654.13 JPY.
So yeah, i am not sure what i want but i have decided to get some kimono, so please help me with ideas.
Ask for a bukkake, its a nice traditional speciality, they might even give it to you for free!

in my experience there electronics were just as expensive as in the uk, if not more so in most cases they were just further ahead with the uber stuff
be sure to go to ueno park there is a fucking awesome sega arcade there on several floors, great experience to go and get ur arse kicked on most sega games by some japs
as mentioned already go to akihabara great place to shop, spend a day in shibuya too and marvel at the few million people that pass through there everyday, for some1 like me living in a small town with less than 10,000 people it blew me away, the starbucks over from the crossing is a good viewpoint for the crossing :P
be sure to spend at least 2 nights drunk as a mother fucker bar hopping in roppongi in tokyo, i spent many many nights there, probably more than was healthy :P fun on ur own and with friends
if you only sight see one place make it Yoyogi park in tokyo, it is the most beautiful park i have been too. make sure u go on a sunday because thats when everything happens, its nice to relax there on the other days, but on sundays all the street performers are out, fucking brilliant place to be
as exy said electronics aint really the best bet, what i suggest is to get games/dvd's etc nuff cheap. also get sum smellys (perfume but that sounds too girly :P) possibly clothes also. Havent been myself but from word of mouth i myself would do the same.
edit: mate came back with over 20 ps2 games, few were copies but with a chipped ps2 costing round 20 quid if you go to computer fairs (great deals at those places and its done professionally) its more then worth it.

:lol: can u believe it before knowing the actual meaning of the term bukkake I thought that it was actually the name of some kind of recipe, but later I learnt that it is a recipe for sure but meant only for the females! It is rather interesting that still today such a custom is practiced in an advanced country like Japan! Whatever they are good for viewing pleasure!
