Has anyone else encountered problems with the xbox360 controller and the little arrow pad. (up down left right) Not the analog stick but the other one...
The day i bought it...It was a little awkward, and it broke the same day...somehow...because I can no longer use those buttons.
Don't know if anyone else is having problems...
I'm gonna return the controller...in the meantime ill prolly buy a new one, but just hoping that it wont have the same problem..

Seems like those controllers are manufactured poorly. My wireless controller makes extremely annoying screeching noises when I use any of the two joysticks.

lol nothing wrong with my controllers..dont buy them used? I got 2 wireless and I treat them like shit and they work fine. the only thing that its wrong...their dirty as shit.

If you bought it from stores such as Game Stop, Best Buy or an official store. You could return it, if you still have the package it came in. You can't return it as a seperate piece so you have to return the whole system.
Best thing to do is if you got the warantee when you bought it, just get another one. Or buy one off Ebay for as low as 15$, thats preety much the best deal you can get.
It's a glitch with Gears of War - sometimes the D-Pad stops working. Your controller isn't faulty, it's happened to me several times - try it with another game or turn off the Xbox and restart it.
mine have fallen so many times and the only thing thats really wrong with them is once in a while the left analog stick will make a tiny screech sound. Maybe you just got unl;ucky and got a reject controller :P
Get a torx screwdriver and have a little dig inside, maybe theres somthing jammed or as Smo said GoW had many glitches when the weapon select is being used.
I've restarted it plenty of times, and it doesn't work with the xbox live screens either...Quote:

GOW should have made a control setup for the controller...instead of using what they assigned..just in case sumthin like this happened...
