connection between server & client

ok i dont understand if i am doing something wrong or the server just isnt configured right...
i am running ManGos Rev.2865 with the silver database and the repack came with mysql
i also have registered navicat and i can connect to my server Localy, from within my network, i also have a dyndns and my ports are fowarded (3306, 3724, 8085, and a range one i forgot what it was but it was in ur guides)
now my Dyndns is evagaming.selfip.net , u may try to connect if u want ill setup an acount for user:test
pass:test and give it GM access
but anyway my main problem is that when someone tries to connect to my webpage outside my own network it just says page taking to long to load or something, and my server when they try to connect it logs them in but on the character creation page just says logging into game server and stays there
is this a port problem or did i screw up somewhere

I'm having the exact same problem with my server I've tried everything to get it to work. it does work within my LAN network i have two PC's and they both connect perfectly. all of my ports are open and its still not connecting it will ping from other computers but freezes during the handshaking then disconnects. any help to point me in the right direction would be great

You need to set your server up to use your global IP, not your local one. Go here to find out what your global IP is.

Dont forget the chang your host file located c:/winsows/system32/drivers/etc host.config

i also found out why my webpage wasnt working,(becuase my cable provider Cox communications is blocking port 80 for anyone to use , so people like me dont make webpages)

i think you can fix it , by using another port for web page , dut that i dont now maybe forwarding anothe rport , for example port 81 or 8080

try that , again i dont , now how to config your apache server and php , maybe you can ask Yamachi , he nows allout abouth these thing :)

yea , the only thing ive figuredout so far though is that if i try to change the port the apache server uses from 80 tolike 8080 or 81 it wont let me get into mysql by webroweser, it just says acces denied so i goes much deeper than i thought it would
