I have a problem with realmd.exe, when i leave it on for about 4-5 hours+ it spams with a note saying
This error lags my computer and shuts server down in the process. I have checked so many forums and GOOGLE... and none of them seems to have the solution to my problem. My rev is 2951 for Mangos.Thank you.Code:Ping Mysql to keep connection alive

This is normal, it is doing exactly what it says.
It is pinging mysql to keep your connection alive.
It is not normal, it spams non stop after 4-5 hours.. and lags my computer and shuts down the server. I dont see how that is normal
It pings the server every 30 minutes. (this is adjustable in realmd.conf) check for this line in realmd.conf:

MaxPingTime = 30

30 minutes is perfect. If yours is spamming and causing lag as you say then your interval is most likely set lower than 30 minutes.
Also you may want to grab a newer revision of mangos my friend, as yours is just a little out of date. I dont remember any problems with your revision but if the above does not help you then it very well could be a revision problem.
Thank you for reply, but this is not the problem. Mine is 30 minutes also and yes I have tried other revisions. The problem happens on all of them...

Is it pinging more often than every 30 minutes? Can you post your realmd.conf file? "####" the passwords and such for security. This is just so i can MAYBE see if there is a problem in there.
I will try to think of more things that could be causing this.
Mysql setup could also be a factor, but i am doubting it. Are all permissions granted on realmd and mangos databases etc?
Happens to me also sometimes ago; i've changed the core and everything was fine and runs smoothly.

I got new core as well, and all is good.
im using the latest manos core/sdb/dbc.
its normal.... if it doesnt it could lose connection with database.... thats why max every 30 mins

cuz mayby is your computer to slow for it
It's just like FTPs, to keep the connection alive when it is idle it must ping it every so often.
If it doesn't ping, you would lose your connection to the SQL server, and lose your connection to the game.
that does not lag AT ALL, you maybe have a crappy rev. or a crappy computer, since THAT does not lag at all it just keeps your connection alive or besides your mysql will cut down the hole connection.
