Awebs Gunz Launcher

Hello, here is my own launcher ! It is easy-to-use and configurable with a Launcher.ini file.

A good documentation is includeD. you'll see it's easy-to-use ;)

The current version of the launcher is V2 ! Update yours !

Features :
- Official uppater look'n'feel
- Cand isplay news and update info loaded froma website
- Updates local files based on a file list on a website
- Can change server's ip and port
- You can now customize the messages displayed by the launcher !

But does it download ever file even if it doesn't need to be updated?

'Cause it downloaded the PDFs each time I ran it even though I already had them.

You're supposed to edit it to download the files you want it to.

The problem is, it downloads the files even if they're already updated.

the look is nice, but you should make it either check the validity of the files on the server compaired to those already on the client.

soo what do u have to send to your friends the gunz lahcer and what eles?

it would be sweet if you could post the source code plz, but only if you want to, its a great launcher but it need to check what files are already there.

Great work, but like the rest of us our saying try implementing a file check system.

Easier to edit the original launcher lol.

It's normal. The update file it uses to test DOES NOT CHANGES THE VERSION (for test use when I was programming) !
Look at it : you will see NewVersion=1 in it and the launcher's is already 1so it will not change the version and it will update every time.

On your update files, just make it change version and it will work !

(Even if you have no updates to do, make an update file wich keeps the current version and downloads no file).

No need of a file check if you change the version in the NewVersion value of your update file to the current one + 1. Maybe the documentation was not clear about this. I'll try to change it.

EDIT: Source code will be given when I will be sure it's the last version. Maybe I will add some functions to it.

but is there a manual that explains how to configure the path to the news/events and the path to the update files? or do I need to open it in some program or something and change it with C or C++ or whatever....?

You can configure both URLs, its explained on the documentation (part : Configuring the Launcher).

The ones currently used were for test, I forgot to delete tham because I'll use 'em for my server :)
