this would be very nice. as far as i know, wow gets the news from another address then the realmlist.wtf shows, but i dont know which files it is.maybe i will search later and try to find it out
If I'm not mistaken, the address is in the loginscreen xml in the MPQs. Of course, you'd need wowsig.exe to create a valid signature after you edit it. Good luck finding a download, though, coz I've had NO luck whatsoever.
sry i dont find it. searched all .xml and .lua, but there is no adress or whatever to anything that could be news
I am not sure how to do it, but there should be a table in the "realmd" database with the label "news".
Like said, I am not sure how to add news to it, but it is there.
EDIT: nvm, that table is for news on the web interface I use...sorry.
