how to make my own stuff

hello .. i have one question..........
how do i make armor and stuff like that.. in some server i see people whit rare stuff and so...

so is there anyway to do this???

why dont u just copy existing shield and change its ID, model, name and armor and block and so on...
quite simple :) but can take a while if u do it for first time :)

You can't add your own graphics, this would require alot more programming than what is already involved. And WoW uses templates to make it easier for the programmers @ Blizz. A template is a basic design for something ie items, weapons, etc That why you notice that swords often have different names but look exactly like each other. Hell alot of the PvP weapons are like that, all they did was change the names of them lol. Basically you wouldn't be "making" your own stuff. You would just be modifying the current item with a new entryid and new name and probably new stats.

Now My question is, is it possible to make your own sets? I was thinking about making a Hylian set for Hunters on my server. Something probably like +2 increase int. by 35 +4 increase range ATK by 45. But I have a feeling I'll be forced to use the same itemsets already in use, but is there a way to modify them. Any Help would be much appreciated. Thanks

lol, do you realy know what you're talking about, reon_the1? I know for a FACT that you can put your own models and graphics into WoW with ease as I've done it myself... I'll explain how to on msn, anubizthot, as it's too much to type in this post XD. I'll PM you my msn addy.

The developmental team on another site said that in order to change the pictures and the model for in game you have to change the source code for it. If I'm mistaken I am sorry I never had any real reason myself to change the models so I have no real reason to look into it.

no.. the source code RUNS the game..
you just need to change / alter the MPQ's...
which holds all the data...

lol, whoever told you that don't know wth they're are talking about... If they think that, then they've obviously never done it, so they shouldn't be giving advice on it.. XD Anyways, just like DJ said, you only need to change the MPQs. This includes adding the item info into the DBCs, then make your own MPQ with the new DBCs and the models/images. Not very hard. :P

actully if u want to just mod the graphics like "change" glow effects or dif textures or models mod the dbc im not telling how to it. u have to figure out that out. ill release an old one i made. and yes it works cuz im using it on rev 3278 mangos. making items with stats is gay lol. yami dont belive me log into my server and check the npc. i have an item no other server not even real wow has. XD. and everyone on my server who has them or seen them is very quite impressed. XD

well back to my question :-P Is it possible to make armor sets? and if so how would I go about doing it. Thanks in advance

Not wanting myself to sound like an a$$, but if you not willing to help out the others, why post here to brag about yourself doing it and not tell them how to help out.

Maybe the people here are asking for help because they can't figure out how to do it hence asking how to do it. I don't think they want to read "I can do it , heres proof, but I'm not telling you how" If you can great good job, just don't post that you can and your not gonna help.

I imagine if you travel back in time and you were new to this and you asked for help people gave it to you.
If they didn't, man I'm sorry you had it ruff, but theres no reason to be like that to others.

well i got flamed off my last "help" that ended in a nasty war.

and yes u can make items use the item_tmeplate and thats all its really LOL

that took like 2 weeks to find that model. it takes ALOT of reading to find this stuff that no one has. just fittle around learn to make godly stats on items then after u master it u move into finding model ids. took me about 2 month to fully master down making any item u can think of. ranging from stats textures and models. the reading is in the server files and client files also.

ill give model ids for items but the one in the screen im not releasing thats my sig in wow. so i know who steals my work and such. i have tons of ids for items, mobs and even spells. if u want some just ask
