Project Epoc
Seems a little farfetched but, maybe in a good 10 - 15 years it will be perfected.
Not sure how it would work...but I doubt there would be a way to change controls.

Enter the matrix.
i'm just wondering... if its all powered my brain waves, why do you need hand/arm movements to control the character?
Hmmm this basicly replaces the Keyboard and Mouse right? O_O can you image if a damn noob that is in your party lets you die and he says like;
Noob: I'm sry.
You: Its ok (But thats not the only think your thinking so it might start apearing the rest of the text >_<) you damn son of b*t*h, i hope you f*c*ing die next fight.
That would be rather complicated no? xD
lol cool shit. Seems like a good start to the creation of Virtual Reality.
gonna be good, but wonder the price :P
Dude it was made by EMOtiv haha >.< couldnt resist that. But it seems cool I guess, to bad it wont be fully working or atleast in my price rang while I'm alive :P
If shit like this really starts coming out, games are gonna get fuckin intense.. imagine aiming with your mind.. you'd never miss.. no hand eye coordination to worry about. :D
The Thirteenth Floor anyone?
Crash
lol this is so far away its unbelievable, at the moment all this is able to do is choose between yes or no, so don't get your hopes up it was unveiled at a german technology fair a while ago.
a program went through the alphabet then when the users brainwaves reached a certain level the computer took that as a click and the letter appeared in a text box, you can do exactly the same at home. just wire up the click switch in your mouse to your body, when the resistance reaches low enough for the current to travel across the skin voila you click.
this is most probably the future of games but personallyt that site makes me suspiciouse.
it could be another G-Pet thingy (atleast I think they were called g pets).
if the site is fake then it sucks, and if it isn't then that coul mean a revolution in gaming.
still doubtfull.
[QUOTE=omerta;2040831]someone watched the gadget show didnt they, the mouse thing cost <
Good point.
If it's neuro-controlled then hand movements aren't needed - Because your brain will know what you want, thus "Emotive" knowing what to do.
Anyway, I don't think I'd stick on that shit yet. You can just imagine having a dream one night about killing the president, sticking the emotiv head-wear on and all of a sudden A swat seam bursts in through the doors saying "You are under arrest for conspiracies of treason and conspiracies to assassinate the president of the United States".
If you don't get what I mean by that little story...You're a dumbass.
gonna spark off loads of spoofs of it. but still...
its like the Wii in my opinion. its an awesome idea but we still need a little more time to make it perfect
i cant wait till this device is done
thats awomse.. too bad in 10 years il be 26..
Yah I was reading about this too ^_^
I thought the raising of the stone thingy was pretty cool lol
I'm not sure if that's on the site you listed or not
Maybe we're better off with just better graphics than using programs with our mind? What if someone used an exploit or hack...would it transfer to your brain :O? (like dot hack)
That looks so sweet o.o
