(update: this is fixed now i have another problem, scroll down to post #17)
ive been trying to get up my private server for 5 days now
i think it has somethin to do with my ip address
my no-ip is 203.87.44.51
in start, run, cmd, ip config my ip is 192.168.0.1
10.1.1.1 i think is my router
every time i try log in it says "cannot connect"
this is my setup:
what ip's do i put where?
do i need to change anything?
and is my username gonna be root?
Did you put the ip 127.0.0.1 in realmlist.wtf at your wow folder?
yeh i just tried it said the information is not valid
is my user name root?
also it says in the realmd.exe "accepting connection from 127.0.0.1:2441" which i havent got b4

can i open ports by:
controll panel, network connections, properties on my internet, advance tab, settings, exeptions tab, add port?
because when i try configuring from the internet it shows:
private ip, port start, port end, and port map
i have no idea wat that means
set you realmd.conf and mangos.conf to 127.0.0.1(thats you pc beacuse that were the data is stored, duh)
go into mysql open realmd_bc or realmd then right click on realist then click view data change the fist ip to what ever ip you want and done!
your online!
note do NOT put in your ip(local network)
or you router(just confuses the pc)
still says information is not valid

Hmm i cant log in so (i think have the smae prob as Sab) i forwarded the ports and my sql realmd is same ip as my ralmlist.wtf
Did everythin ok (A friend logged in)
But before me its doesnt work...
Made a seccond line in sql by realmd (and a thirt) Whit al ips like 127.0.0.1
And 10.0.0.151 and my external ip but still cnat log in.... (I have TBC)

Could it be because i al ready have a working 1.12.x server? (who isnt turned on now)
Hm is see that i just port 3443 dindt forward that one.. but that isnt needed? (a freidna l ready logged in from his pc)
Hello, I've done what you say i know what your talking about how it lets people on with your "WAN IP" thought how does the "HOST" connect because ill i seem to get is SUCCESS or it gets stuck on server select and i've clicked it 33 times and nothing happends. Please tell me how i can connect to my server. (People that connect though my WAN IP are people who arn't connecting through my Internet. They can get in game.)

LAN IP IS NOT!
host uses wan ip!

The ip i use to connect into server is "10.0.0.1" It gets stuck on server select. I click my server then it comes up again. All my .conf are right.
NOTE: If i use my WAN IP to connect it will not work cause I am hosting off the same PC i'm trying to connect to my wow server.
i know thats why i sed to use the wan ip so it WORKS!
if you use inturnal ip it wont work(it works but only to realm slect)

I can't follow this thread at all... but in the last picture you posted you has everything configured (What seems to be fine) but your SQL file has an error.
Under the DBinfo column you have realmd_bc listed as the DB... this is wrong.
It should be your mangos database not the realm.
ok. Read this clearly I DO NOT HAVE AN ROUTER. Though I have been able to make a ragnarok online server online. I know what a WAN IP and Lan IP is. So dont tell me it works. Also I'm at university doing IT course on WAN IP and Lan IP. If I have to ill post a meaning of them.
The Internet guide only allows people other than the Host to get into the server. If the host trys to use 127.0.0.1 IP to connect to his Server he will get a Realm Loop This will also happen if he uses his Local IP which is your LAN IP . If he uses his WAN IP to connect he will get Unable To Connect. The only way an Host is able to connect in game is to change the realmlist in MYSQL to your LAN IP.
Please do note that the guide would only work if you hosting computer or server is not on the same internet as the pc you trying to login.

I've done the whole guide from scratch six times and I do mean full redo sql everythink. I beleave you it might work but logicly i might not have set up my "Host" file right but i've done it all the same as in your pictures. I still cannot connect in the realm on my host pc. Another thing it might be the realm or mangos internal error where C++ is. Other than that if you could send me your basic server files (Mangos.exe, Realmd.exe, Sql folder, the realmd.conf and mangos.conf). Thank you and once i tested with you files I might be able to find the problem everyone is getting.
