[Development]Launcher Beta 001

Hi there...

This is the ongoing launcher project I am undertaking to get a nice smooth looking GUI for the launcher. I am trying to keep it simple. Extract the zip to a folder and run the launcher.exe and let me know what you think of the look please.

In the finished version it will have a setup.exe with shortcuts and it will even install the gameguard file and run it automatically in the background when you start the launcher if its not already running.

It's not going to launch your game because the button is programmed to open C:\Progra~1\Trigge~1\Roseon~1\launcher.exe so unless you have a batch file that has been converted into an EXE like I do in my folder, its not gonna work :)

I mainly want suggestions on the look and layout please. The exit button works though, and it should bring up my server homepage in the center of the launcher.

Added screenshots. If you will notice, it is resolution independant in kiosk mode (meaning the black background grows with your resolution) and my website for the server apears in the middle, and you can see the whole page! You can navigate pages easier that way.

Looks great mate, but i also think you should let us change the top banner to :)

The top banner is from my website... so if you use the launcher, the banner showing will be if you have one on your website. If you don't have a banner on your website then one will not show. On the actual launcher GUI though I did not put a banner. If there is a demand for a GUI the same as this but with a banner on top that goes to a site to vote, let me know and I will make two versions. As always, it will be free.

I am about 80 pct done with the launcher, then I'm going to work on the setup program that will install it into the roseonline folder so your users wont have to drag it to the folder... they can just setup the client, then run this setup and it will just work.

Well you are entitled to your opinion, and based on it, maybe I'll release a version without the installer. This project is still in development, and I apreciate comments. I am still going to make an installer version because not everyone feels as you do, and they want to be able to just run two installers, one for the client and one for the gameguard patch/Launcher and then play the game.

There will be a few different GUIs, so keep checking back. I am making a regular windowed version with the - [] X buttons at the top of the window so you can close it in case the GUI buttons fail as well.

Please everyone make comments whether they are positive or not, I want this to be a collaborative effort, and I will not flame you for making negative comments as long as they are constructive to the end result.

Also, the Launcher by MjClarke has to be compiled. Not everyone has programming experience. That's why I'm mainly making this one.
