Seting Server Online Please Read

Hey all i was j/w how you set the Server online i no u use ur PC ip but carnt seem to get it to work so i j/w if some 1 can shed some light on it please thanks

yes ofcouse i am and i wanan no what files and names i need to put my ip into m8

the gate address can be set to 127.0.0.1 for routers and direct conections there needs to be 3 files altered

in the dbsvr folder open !serverinfo.txt

127.0.0.1 internetIPhere 7200

in the login server folder open !addrtable.txt

ServerName ServerName 127.0.0.1 internetIPhere internetIPhere:7100

and in mir200 open !runaddr.txt

internetIPhere


also if you are on a router, you will need to forward the ports in there: 7000,7100,7200 (and 3000 if you intend to use Leo's siggy, servercount software) to the internal ip of the server host machine 192.***.***.* usually

well i changed them 3 ips and that didnt help me run it online any other help please

same i tried it and all my gates are open and all fine just when i use client it says conn closed and yes i am using all right files tbh

only works if i put my ip in my mir2.ini to 127.0.0.1 not my server ip......

you need to change every ip address from 127.0.0.1 - what every your ip address is.

Dont change the ip addresses that are set to 0.0.0.0

weve had 2.3 files online a few times with just those 3 ips changed to external ips, and router forewarding set up to internal ip of the server,, and peeps outside our network connecting?

lol thats what i did originally and only way i got it to work so tried this way but dont work

a dynamic ip is an ip ur isp provides u it refreshes and changes 24 hours so u cannot run your server on this, a static ip never changes it always stays the same so u need it for the server to run..

ok go to WhatIsMyIP.com - 208.116.34.18 copy ur ip paste it in every file that asks for ur ip
then forward ur ports so that people can connect
