I can't see anyone on my server plz Help

I got the server working with everything. I'm using router so my bro and I can log on to the server but we can't see each other. We can see the stuff being droped by one another and pick them up but that it. Does anyone know how to fix this?

One other problem is sometimes when we pick up items, if we don't pick them up fast enough they disappear and we can't pick any other items again. Then we have to rerun the game and it works but the problem continues.
