Ok, first the Mop0XXX is the Mop that coorisponds with the map file Map0XXX. Now, NEVER touch the Map0XXX file ONLY the Mop0XXX file.
1) Choose a Mop file to edit.
2) At the top is something like

NEW!!! Try putting in 5 for the Mop Pattern and get a pleasant surprise! Or refer to the information above to ruin the surprise...
sticky please......
Very helpful information, but two problems when I make my own monsters:
- Philar doesn't work. It doesn't show up for some reason, where other chars do.
- The skills never do any damage. The only way these mobs do damage is when they punch you and they have heaps of strength. They cast skills and they hit because you see the animation on you, but it does no damage. Any ideas?
Also I was wondering if you know what the other numbers do i.e. for your azlar
992 1 13 2 1 1 2500 2500 11 0 19 313 313 20 600 47946 10 22010 3061760 0 0 -1000 0
What are "13 2 1 1 2500 2500"?
i am trying to figure these numbers out still.
Please, help...
Some of the monsters, for example Espers and Mutants (only honourless ones) do not die. Can someone give me the default field for those two? I can't level in Sahara because I get instantly killed =/
mut:
6 55 9 2 1 1 1400 1400 0 0 0 0 0 0 1350 1250 1250 1500 125230 0 0 0 0
esper:
12 61 11 2 1 1 1000 1000 0 0 185 184 1500 1500 3000 4500 4200 4200 1011900 0 0 0 0
should be 23 numbers.. per row heres wat i figured out:
1. monster index
2.monster spirite
3.monster view range
4.monster speed
5.mosnter attacking range 1
6.monster attacking range 2
7.monster attacking speed 1
8.monster attacking speed 2
9. physical attack type 1
10.phyiscal attack type 2
11.magical attack type 1
12.magical attack type 2
13. magical attack type 3
14. magical attack type 4
15.strength
16.spirit
17.dex
18.power
19. exp
20.i dunno
21.i dunno
22.honor
23. i dunno
I have some doubts about 13 an d 14, in the original monsters they often have values of 1000 which seems odd for a skill number. Could they be damage or duration numbers for skills 11 and 12?

Anyone got Philar's skin working?
That could be right, I remember I made an aurello with something like 195 195 195 196 196 196 and it would cast spectacular skills on me all the time. I'll try it later.

it goes clockwise, if you set dir1(20) to 9 and dir2(21) to 1
the mg will attack in the directions of 9 6 3 2 1
0 and 5 means that it can attack in any direction
you can stick a mg in the middle of the floor and have its dir1 and dir2 set to 0 or 5 and it will shoot people behind it too
its not worth editing for any other monster
and 23 is the fly parameter
used mainly for Bats setting it to 0 means they are restricted by walls, setting it to 1 means they can "fly" over walls
------------
and yes 13 and 14 are skill1int and skill2int respectively
it is used for setting how long it has to wait till it can use skill1 and skill2
TADA!
Can anyone upload a file that would make me understand it easier, cuz i don't get it :\.
