Not if your over 18, and in some other countries not even that.

Planning on getting my license this year as soon as I turn 16. Hell I drive all the time anyway. I know all of the cops in our town personally (small town) so I'm not going to get in trouble. Grats anyway. =P

surely you have to have a practical test?
Do you have massive insurance quotes lol? I imagine you get a lot of accidents if they let people loose without taking lessons and passing a practical test.
I want my license now too but still waiting to get started on the whole learning phase. Took long enough to get the learner's permit because a silly document not being able to prove my signature -.-. Got it have it, I can now learn on to drive in the US. Yey :D

Driving tests are a joke, especially in small towns. I basically drove a block, turned around, and came back for my driving test.
wow I drove on a highway and did all sorts of crazy shit. I'm pretty sure it's a US thing where after you get your license you have to wait 6 months before driving people around; I only had to wait 5 :v:Quote:

my dad drove when we were in canada. hes had his liscence for 30 years tho. i think a uk liscence works all over the worlds
