Cant Select Server

I can log in on my server ut i cant choose the server if u get what i mean . When i choose server it says unable to connect.

Uh, think only a IP works as a variable for *GAMESERVER

but i aksed someone and they said that an redirection should work. and i got an dynamic ip so

Anyone confirm that a IP substitute works in place of a IP?

You do not want to use the redirection in your hotuk however. Infact I don't even see why you would want to. Stick with LAN and WAN IP's for the best results.

The DDNS can be used for people connecting to your server. However server side you are going to want the setup to be a bit more professional using ip's.

Use the No-Ip.org automatic IP update program which changes your No-IP link to whatever your current IP is, set the IP in your Hotuk to your Lan IP.

i didnt rly get that but shall i set the ip in hotuk to the 127.0.0.1 or 192.168.0.1 or the WhatIsMyIP.com - 208.116.34.18 ip?

No-IP.org has a program which you download and whenever your IP changes it automatically changes Mypt.no-ip.org to your current new IP.

Try using the ip 208.116.34.18 in the hotuk first instead. If your IP is DHCP based, and consistantly changes, then use your internal ip. Which would be 192.168.0.*. Do not use 192.168.0.1 however, thats the gateway IP to your d-link router or whatever router it is.

Assuming your under XP, right click on "My Network Places" then go to properties. Then right click on the Local Area Connection that is currently in use, and go to "Status." In status you should see a button labeled "Details," click that button. In here look for IP address, and it should say something like 192.168.0.101, or 198.168.0.102 or something like that. Thats your private/internal IP address the router assigns you.

If all else fails then I would reccomend you to use DDNS.

with a router it is very easy to keep a fixed IP
hotuk set localhost ipadress / lan ipadress
then on router enable it to redirect incomeing connection to your computer
useing Virtual Server/ Virtual Port redirection
read about it in your router manual useing a modem must use your WAN ip adress
and clients connect via no-ip.org tool
you must have the program for no-ip.org to automatic update your IP adress as soon as it changes

I dont want to turn off the server like every day to change ip but if i put in my 192.168.1.100 ip people dont use that ip to connect right?

if you have a router just set your lan ip on server hotuk
and on router let it redirect to your ip adress in this way anytime the router change ip all what will be needed is people to connect to your server useing mypt.no-ip.org on the launcher that you will make, download the no-ip.org tool to update your ip on your host thats all
