editing items..? help please

Thanks guys, can this also work to make NEW items from scratch? Just say I want to make some special event items or admin items?

Also, I keep getting some memory error.. Arrgh i had the image on clipboard but I copied something else..

Usually after I log off my server, not long after I get the message error.. It says "click OK to continue or click cancel to debug" i usually debug it, but it closes my server down, then I need to redo it..

Could I get a hand with that?

EDIT: could you also tell me how I can change the image of an item *example* say I wanted the Donor Spear to look like Dreadnaught Spear, how do I change it?

To add new items you must hex edit your server.exe. And to create a new item: just copy an existing item's txt files and edit it :) the only problem will be hexing if you don't know how to do that, some ppl just replaces an already existing item wif the new one since that doesn't require any hexing.

creating items means expanding the server code / entering new one.
but if you want to creat an admin item that looks like the normal item you can do the following.
copy the item wanted to make with different stat.
lets say its da103
new item = da103b
new item name da103b.zhoon
new item name in zhoon file = " Gm Leather Armor "
after modifing the item go ingame and type the following case sensitive
/@put name " Gm Leather Armor "
then you will get the modified item
*note dont change the da103 in text file it is the path of item image.*

So if i did that, how do I get the text file of the item into .zhoon file?

Oh, 2 more things, the mixing editor doesnt work and also, Id like to edit the NPC's in my towns.. I want to make them sell different things, how do I do that..?

The NPC editor doesn't work and I dont think even if it did work, that it would let me change what the npc sells..

npc sells = manually
gameserver/npc
and mix editor just add the file beside server.exe
hit on load typein the server name without extention
add mix's starting from 104
hit write hit save will work
Npc added to map =
add the npc manager in gameserver/field
load the spc file add it's x y z

To edit what npc's sell go to their .npc file and scroll down until you see something with a few ASCII chars followed by item IDs, edit the item IDs to add/remove items that NPC sells.

Hmm.. Lord, i tried this, but when I go ingame and put in the command it doesnt work..
I tried everything :S
Could you give us a hand with it?

but a simple question, have you checked you on GM lv 3 ?
and also server must be Restarted after adding the file into the server
