Hexing CHS Main serial and version

Hi all, in this guide, i will show you how to change Chinese Main.exe serial and version.

Lets start, first you have to know how to unpack the main. Go here.

2nd, find yourself a good Hex Editor, i recommend HexWorkShops.
You can get it here.

3rd i will show you how to hex the main, i will provide a screen shots for you to follow if you got confuse.

After unpacking the main, open it with HexWorkShop. Hit Ctrl+F, a new menu will pop-up. This will let you find text string, hex value, bit mask, etc. In the "Type" menu, let choose "Text String" and on the "Value" menu, we'll type in "wzp" and hit the "OK" button. Don't worry about the other options below, just leave it like it is.

Now that we have the result, you will see the serial and version location in the image provied above. Lets change it according to your settings.

Now some of you think that you can change the VERSION by editing it exactly as the server has, NO, it won't work that way. Theres other thing that you need to do in order for the version in the main to match the one on server side. Go here, this guide will help you determine the hex code version of your server.

I`m an idiot i know but i`m having trouble finding the right client for my servers. I have 0.97D+99. Or at least that`s what they said it was. How do i find the server version and serial to change in main? I can handle hexing. Hope someone still checks this thread.
