(Note: This particular post also corrects my old generic advice by NOT having you forward port 3306 - thanks FamineMK)

You should open/forward ports 80(web server), 3724(realmd - realm server), and 8085(mangosd - world server)

I've noticed that if it's on your computer it's better to have it set up so that the realmd.conf and mangosd.conf are pointed to 127.0.0.1 and you have the no-ip DYNS listed in your reamlist table. ALSO if you're trying to connect to a server being hosted on your own box you'll need your realmlist.wtf pointed to 127.0.0.1 other wise the connection is just looking through the router.
As was said, 3724-3725, 8085 and 3306 are the common. Appriciate the help Wolf. (It's wierd...I go by Wolf everywhere but here...creepy.)

ur using no-ip i tryed that but i dont really no how to caus dont you have to keep the server mangosd and realmd and mangos.exe up at all time or not wat can i sue for my m8s to connect to me caus i made a second copy of mangos and put my ip in but it changes all time so wat do i do to make it?(post link to tut on how to get other ppl to connect)<if there is 1>thx

Interesting to finally see a mod in here doing some sort of cleanup, Its been a long time since Ive seen a moderator even looking at this corner of Ragezone. Personally, I think you took that to an extreme. Is what it is though. Good luck with that.

here is something that might help, when setting up your no-ip web address make it a port redirect. So in your SQL use your ip from WhatIsMyIP.com - 208.116.34.18 and in Db Info put in your no-ip address. this will be the only place you need to put that. In all other Ip places put your ip from WhatIsMyIP.com - 208.116.34.18.Also use that Ip for realmlist.

ok i opend the port and put it on redirect but how do i put my account registration page on my noip and wat do u mean by my no-ip addy u mean the adres as in *******.no-ip.org or the ip they hav given me?and for redirect u have to have no-ip plus dont u? if i have to pay can u tell me a free 1 that i can uplaod account reg on.

you put your registration page stuff into htdocs folder of XAMPP. apache friends - xampp

ok and a port redirect is free for no-ip and you use the address that you created.
