In the server.exe somewhere is the obvious "duh" answer, but as for specific location, gonna have to find that yourself (Ollydbg is your friend).

Why the watermark on the picture anyway, only thing custom in it is the scythe, and those were made by rPT.

Me and a friend are working on a tool to change the welcome message. However, here is what you can change in the server if you know hex.

201930 byte 15... starting byte.
You may edit through...
201970 byte 14. Around ending byte.

Around 63 chars or so.

oh , i used packet editor / debugger tools on server and changed the data.

No it will not. I have deliberately taken those call functions out because they were annoying and got in the way of what I was wanting to achieve in my welcome message. It is safe to remove %s%d%d%d%s without any errors... only within the Hex bytes I have provided however.

how do you guys get the purple message to come up in the first place?

Should pop up whenever you enter the server?
