[IMG]Setting up 1.02N(88T.96) Server {Router and Non-Router Support}

Hi again, this time I will make a guide on how to setup 1.02N(88T.96) Server.
I have notice alot of you have a dream(lol) and that is to setup your first or a latest server with most updated feature of MUONLINE. Well, all i can say is "your dream will be fulfill....by [user]liselotte[/user]" ^^.

Note: This guide is for 88T.96 ([user]goehdtjdrnr[/user]) Server Files only. ClickHere for more info.

This guide will divide into 2 parts. Router and Non-Router parts.

Lets begin!!

First, we will start by knowing the IP in our computer.

WAN IP: WAN IP is your internet. You can find it HERE.

LAN IP: LAN IP is your local network IP. Local network computer use this IP to connect to another local computer. You can find LAN IP using the command prompt(see image below).

NOTE: If your LAN IP is the same with your WAN IP, that means you are NOT using a router. Without router, you can setup your server in less than 5 minutes.

Before we start...again, i recommend to USE X-Upload as your mustartup program. This program use less resources than ST MuStartUp.

Now lets start the tutorial. (FOR NON-ROUTER USERS ONLY). Browse down for Router guides.

First we will start putting IP in ConnectServer.
Go to X:\MuServer\CS or X:\MuServer\ConnectServer
Open:
X:\MuServer\CS\Connectserverlist.dat, X:\MuServer\CS\Data\Connectserverlist.dat,and X:\MuServer\CS\Data\Serverlist.dat or X:\MuServer\ConnectServer\Connectserverlist.dat,X:\MuServer\ConnectServer\Data\Connectserverlist.dat, and X:\MuServer\ConnectServer\Data\Serverlist.dat.
If you are using [user]goehdtjdrnr[/user] files, the ConnectServer should be in X:\MuServer\ConnectServer\Data\.

You should see all the three files has the same configurations.

Replace "ServerName" and "WAN IP" to your desire configurations. NOTE: Servername and WAN IP should be inside the quotations.

2nd we will edit IP in X:\MuServer\Data.

Open X:\MuServer\Data\IpList.dat

Open X:\MuServer\Data\MapServerInfo.dat
Below will guide you understanding MapServerInfo.dat. Description taken from [user]themad[/user]

-1 -> There is a problem with the connection. Connect to the first server in the group that has a possibility to accept the connection
0 -> There is a problem with the connection. Connect to one random server from the group.
1 -> The connection is perfect, should connect to it with no problem.

55901/55901 - The Sub Server Port
end - Ends the listing

ConnectMemberLoad is for VIP configuration. If "ConnectMemberLoad = 1", only users listed in "X:\MuServer\Data\ConnectMember.txt" are allowed to join.

Separate each account by quotations.

NonPK is for PVP and NON-PVP server control. If "NonPK = 0", PVP will ENABLE. If "NonPK = 1", PVP will DISABLE.

PkLimitFree is for PVP kill limit. If "PkLimitFree = 0", PVP kill will be unlimited. If "PkLimitFree = 3", PVP kill limit will be 3. Set this value to however you want in your server.

Im using Server with router.. and as of now no problem Server running Fine

1. On the links i didnt change anything .. as is 127.0.0.1
As of now players dont have problems connecting..
is it ok ? or in the future i might have a problem ?

1. yes it will affect future use. so i suggest to change 127.0.0.1 to your IP(see guide above which one to put)
2. it will record all event ranking and so on. better to connect it to a correct db. you should have "MU2003_EVENT_DB " database. if you are not sure, look at my guide and follow/copy the example that i have provided.

I'm runnig a 1.02N server with 6 DB no MD5, and MSSQL 2000.

When I try to restore DB, my MSSQL doesn't allow me to do it because it doesn't recognize mdf files. Do I have to use a more recent MSSQL proggie or what I'm doing wrong?

well, the server use non-md5 database, so try to install a web that is non-md5

Yeah, best guide I saw until now... but now i give up... i still have problem account already connected...

I am very new to this, but i`m a fast learner :) had my 1.02q server up in like 15 mins. Now i would like to switch to this test and release. What I don`t understand is how do i set-up an online web-page for registration and some sort of user CP. Many thanks in advance.

And your guide says i need them = / could you re-upload the server files because mine are no were close to yours they are all jumbled up in korean or sumthin lol.

those port only allowed connection to the gameserver.

127.0.0.1 IP is your LOCAL IP, this IP only allow you to connect to your computer with your computer (lol)

I successfully run my server and I have problem about the No Username and Password Bar But It say I'm Connected, I't would'nt come out. I Put screenshot to explain more clearly.

Liselotte, there is a bug we are having, some players cannot trade items because their inventorys are "full" according to the server when they actually are not. also, i have this skill on my elf, it looks kinda like a sunflower on the floor, and hurts her when she uses it, any idea what it is?

p.s. im trying to add a subserver, any help? i have a post on the help section.

i dont know about the first problem, maybe the other user's inventory are really full or dont have enough space to store the new traded items

for the elf, thats season II skill, the reason you get dmg from your own new skill is because we dont have a fix for that skill yet, even the DL Fire Scream skill, it work but it kill ppl even you didnt force your char to kill someone.

for the subserver, i dont know about that, its a bit complicated for me to setup a subserver really.

if you are on router, make sure you put wan ip on connectserver, and lan ip on gs link

Hi Lise ! just want to say thanx for this great guide of yours i really want to try this server and i can say that this is the best guide of 1.02N that i ever see so far.. even if some links are gone people must appreciate your work. my server isnt up yet cause i think i should need to search for the other files for this version. and i cant configure the following .exe which i attached below and also i cant use #X-Upload cause i dunno how to configure this one. i use to have my own server (1.02Q) and now i want to try your guide with this 1.02N version but still im newbie on putting up the server. i think some files are missing on my 1.02n server . attached some pic ... if you can help pls kindly post or reply on it or you can email .
