The trailer came on TV a few weeks ago. The game is gonna be friggin great. Am just waiting for it to release. Everythin else is ready for me to play. :D

Well, his surname, Bellic, suggests that he most likely is a Croat. By the way, dunno if the site states that (haven't checked it yet -.-), but characters from previous games will NOT appear.

I am rather curious, this game is an exclusive release for Xbox 360 and PS3 only. As far as I know it isn't coming out for PC.

i was waiting for it to launch on the official website and there was a countdown and it was released on the 29th march at 6:00pm. And i was probaly one of thousands who were the first to watch..... Unless you are talking about another trailer than the one i just watched on youtube...

Well, there are ALOT of NYC landmarks in those screenies you posted. I was in GameStop a few days ago, and I was browsing through a magazine that covered GTA IV, and even the cop cars look exactly like NYPD cop cars, they just say LCPD instead. Also, back to the screenies you posted, one of them replicated Times Square, 42nd Street, where the New Years ball drops, and another one had the Crysler Building in it, and another you saw the Empire State Building in it. It is indeed going to be an exclusive release for the Xbox 360 and PS3, as Moofin said. I personally can't wait. =D

There probaly will be other island's because if you look closely near the start there is a sign saying " Travel To Vice City $200 " Or something like that.. :)

Just like GTA and GTA2 where PSX exclusive but still was released on the PC and DC (GTA2). And just like how GTA 3, GTA VC, and GTA SA where PS2 exclusive but was latter released on the XBOX and PC. And just like how GTA LCS and GTA VCS where PSP exclusive and was then latter released on the PS2.
With Rock Star and exclusive is only for 1 year. =P
So I'm pretty sure it'll be on the PC a year latter just like all the other ones. ;)
And to the topic starter. It's Liberty City. There was a GTA IV issue of Game Informer 2 months. They interviewed Rock Star and played the beta version of the games. And it's pretty much Liberty City.
Never the less Liberty City was a NYC clone at the beginning anyways. Now they are just making it more detailed.
GTA IV will be a little smaller then GTA SA but the whole thing will be a city.
Also take a look at Game Spot. They also have tons of info on the game.
