[Tut]Setting up your server with Hamachi

Many people say that you must not use Hamachi because it sucks, but I run my server with it and I have no problems with it.

Anyways... Someone asked me to make a tut. about it, so lets go!:

Step 1.)

Download Hamachi: Download | Site

Step 2.)

Setting Hamachi up.

It's very easy, but the developers decided to add even a manual to it. But I will explain it here too.

When you have installed Hamachi, run it and press on the Power Button in the bottom left of the window. It will take some time, because it is the first time that you configure your Hamachi.

Now press on the triangled button in the top right of the window and select Create a New Network. The following window will popup:

Fill in the two fields and press Create. Your Hamachi window will now look like this:

Ofcourse the IP and the server name difference from my picture.

Step 3.)

Reconfiguring the CONF files in your server folder.

Open up your server folder and edit the following files:

Worldserver.CONF
Charserver.CONF
Loginserver.CONF


Now find in all the above called files the line "serverip=" and edit it in "serverip=yourHamachiIP" (both without the ""). Your Hamachi IP is the row of numbers in the top of your Hamachi window:

Now save the CONF files and run your servers.

How can other people connect?

The people who want to connect also need to download Hamachi. But they only need to do the following steps:

Step 1.)

Joining your Hamachi server.

Press on the triangled button and select Join an existing Network and need to enter your server name and password:

Step 2.)

Make a .bat file with the following content:

TRose.exe @TRIGGER_SOFT@ _server "yourHamachiIP"

Again, without the quotes. Now when they are connected to your Hamachi server and run the .bat file, they join your server!

I Am Running my server with hamachi either, for 2 months now :), and still are people saying it wont work with hamachi XD
