How to make AppServ run faster?

I use AppServ to host my gunz site. My gunz site isnt just a register page, its actually a whole site. When some people that goes to my site, they said that its loading takes too long. Also when they download my gunz client too.

Ex: They usually dl at a speed of 300kbps, but when they download from my appserv, it slows down to around 10kpbs.....

Im thinking I might have to use a FTP server for the client dl, but dont know how.

So is there anyway on speeding up my appserv? I've seen people done it b4, but dont know how.

Appserv speed is dependent on your internet speed...Well that's what I've heard xP and plus it depends how many people are on your site downloading or what not....
