New DB error & char

when i log in & make a char i get this in the

DBServer...

it allso dosent save the char when i log out & back in the char is gone

you havent deleted the fields from CharInfo! read the instructions

it looks like tables you arent even using are messing up unless you havent done the identity index change.... my best solution if you have a server that isnt out yet is to restart the character tables again take a fresh restore and then re-apply the edits

OK iv just rebooted the server & i think iv fixed 99% of it My chars are now saveing & im geting no error's in the DBServer as you can see...

But im still geting the annoyeing Blackscreen any more iders?

i get it sometimes running client and server same pc :(, (did last night, checking latest updates, and table changes) best thing is to make it online, and get outsider or another pc to connnect to it

check your IP's, mapquest.txt & mongen tables

oh and send the entire log report for that m2 to thedeath!

obviously if the m2server is giving that many errors @ startup it's not gonna be running properly (hence why you get black screen)
last time i checked them nil envir things where cause your db is missing some fields (your npc tables i think)

Ty TD iv gone throw the update.doc again & i have every thing it says taks a look anything missing?

firstly take off all the allow null ticks, somehow i think you havent read the updates.doc that carefully

also maybe clear your mapquest.txt just to make sure that isnt causing any problems

if i tyake off the ticks i get a error & it wont save the ticks off

my suggestion is wait until shunt finalises the latest combined database and then download that, and just import your custom data into it after emptying the appropriate tables. that way you will know you have the right database field structure

OK can i get the last full working files from any ware just to start some of the npc's ect?

here is the BASIC set of datafiles (mongen is very bare) with all the updates to tables, fields as of 01/07/07. this uses single data configuration,, eg, dbserver.ini, and !setup.ini paths for data will be the same!!!!!!! just restore from device into your chosen empty database.

(think its right, it is early, if not let me know)
