OVA(OAV old term) both means a animation that has gone straight to the DVD with out beening release on TV.
ONA is when it only been release on the internet first and wont be shown on tv but will be on dvd...

they changed it to OVA from OAV, coz it got confused with the short name of Adult Videos lol
