[Tut] Port forward with Linksys - 10 step simple!
First off this is for people who are behind routers and are just tired of using Hamachi! Here's what you can do. The port on runescape is 43594. So here are the steps of what to do:
1.) In an internet browser, go to http://192.168.1.1
2.) If your router requires authentication enter it and continue
3.) Go to Applications & Gaming
4.) Externet Port is 43594 and Internet Port is 43594 as well and Protocol is Both
5.) Next go to Start and then Run
6.) Type in cmd and hit enter
7.) In the DOS window that comes up, type in ipconfig and hit enter once again
8.) Look and find your local ip (192.168.1.1??)
9.) Now go back to the browser window and for To IP Address put the last three numbers of the local IP address in
10.) Check Enabled
Should work now! Without Hamachi! Worked for me.

When i type in the ip in the browser nothing happens

Re: [TUT] Port forward with Linksys - 10 step simple!
That most likely means you have a different gateway. Just go to Start then Run then type cmd. Now type ipconfig and hit enter. Where you see the local IP find you Default Gateway. Use that in the browser.

Does this work for wireless laptops? If so... I'd love to know what next because all that comes up is DSL Connection information and Connection information... Nothing about Applications and gaming..
