Items Duration

I would like to know, if there is a way to make items durate the time we want, like the thales armors, i checked the file (da114), but it doesnt seem anything is different from another armor file.
I get to the conclusion it should be linked with the item id.
Please can someone confirm me this and/or give me a way to put duration for any other items (not only armors)
