You CAN'T make a map yet. Sometime soon you will be able to.

Who the hell is Legion? I'm new to the whole Ragezone thing.
He is a pretty well known Gunz hacker/programmer.
He made things like the Mouse Rebinder and Gunz Entropy just to name a few, he is currently working on a map compiler.
Soo what forum is he mostly active on? Please dont let it be Mafiacoders.
EDIT: If I am gonna make a map compiler what programs do I need? I might needed the support from Ragezoners.
basically Legion does things the hard way in my opinion. Find someone who has the GunZ Source code and knows what their doing with it, then make the game accept different file types other than (examples) .elu, .dds, or .mrs, kinda like making it accept something such as (just an example) .3ds or .dxf files. This way you dont actually NEED Legions converter, you can just make a map in .3ds(EXAMPLE) then make the GunZ game recognize it with the source and boom, you just made a custom map and your one of the first to do it.
also Snuckles108, RageZONE GunZ forums is mainly for private server help. How to make a register page, insert armor, weapons, how to setup a server, how to get everything running... basically anything you need for a private server. RageZONE also has private servers of their own, such as for iRose.

What your suggesting is very remote. First you have to find someone with the source code, if anyone has it besides MAIET. Second you have to change the way gunz reads and displays the graphics. Third you have to make it look at least like it was before you started messing with it.
Legion, IMHO, is doing it the right way.
Not to mention creating a map totally in 3ds is a stupid way to make a map, it would be useless for anything other than renders.
I know, I know, he said example but it’s a bad one. :p
Legion is using GtkRadiant to build the maps for his compiler, how is that the hard way?

By the way, Maiet uses something like BSP also. Weren't BSP Waypoint or Map files for Counter-Strike?
hey! i am pretty new to creating maps and things. and everything goes fine until i need to build the map.
i only get: -(map name).bak
-(map name).map
how do i get a .mrs? =S
i also got the GZmap extracted in the gtk radiant folder =S
rofl that is the biggest bump I have ever seen.
