According to Gizmodo, the gang used one of their girlfriend's as a honey trap to entice the bloke who is apparently a world leader in the game Gun Bound.

After he turned up in a shopping centre in San Paulo expecting a date with a real life girl, the player found the gang led by a bloke called Igor and he was kidnapped. Apparently the plan was to sell the password for $8,000. After five hours they could not break the will of the hostage who apparently would rather risk death than hand over his passwords.

In the end they let him go. The Brazilian police then caught the four suspects, aged 19 to 27.

i dont think that $8000 is worth the jail time of gettin caught
but that guy must have some love for the game for not giving up after torture

Wow honestly that is sad. Wouldn't it also be easier if you were so desperate to just try and hack the pass? Well anyway being a top RPG player seems to have become a dangerous profession. sigh...

and the game is gunbound puff better play private server =p

i would understand if its like WoW or L2 or Guild Wars or some other Good MMOrpg but even there u need to be totaly stupid to do it.... but Gun Bound! omfg! lifeless ppl... kidnap a guy for that game! you must be totaly life desperate....

actually no account is worth commiting a crime... If your to poor to buy a game thats p2p then get a job, If your low lvl in a game then just grind -_-....

1 time i was kidnapped by a gang of robot pirates they wanted me to teach them leet counter strike skills but i battled them all off and after 25 hours of constant battle i got away
