Realm loop and MySQL version
This realm loop thing seems to be pretty common. You can connect to your server but it may take many times of hitting CANCEL to do so. If you are lucky you get on within the first five tries or so.
I've tried a ton of things trying to get it to work properly. I'm thinking it may have something to do with the MySQL version being used?
It would be nice to see users list their MySQL version and note if they have the realm loop problem or not.
I'll go first:
- MySQL version: 5.0.45
- Realm loop: yes
Re: Realm loop and MySQL version
same as ^
and i do beleive its the ip you use, if you notice nobody else has a problem connecting to your server, but you do, why? no idea but it has something to do with using your external ip instead of localhost
Re: Realm loop and MySQL version
I just tried MySQL version 5.0.27 which is what I use to run EQEmu and it still has the realm loop problem with Ascent. Bah!
However with 5.0.27 I could swear that more vendors are now working than when I used 5.0.45 or maybe I'm dreaming!? I completely wiped out the database and 5.0.45, reinstalled 5.0.27 fresh, sourced in a fresh copy of the RockOn database and all is good. I'm going to stick with 5.0.27.
