Restoring from SQL Dump problem
Hey guys, I seem to be having an ever re-occuring problem whenever I try to restore the TNPS# from the SQL dump via SQLYog, Iv'e been able to run an antrix server in the past without any problems but its only until recently when I reformatted by computer that it hasn't been able to work again.
The problem tends to be whenever I attempt to Restore From SQL Dump, it would start restoring and then at any randomly given moment just freeze. The programme doesnt go responding, but I cant click the 'Stop' button and so I have to Alt ctrl Del my way out of it.
On the whole im 90% sure that it isnt being blocked or interfered with by another programme or has been corrupted in anyway because iv'e re-installed it countless times already.
I would just like to get this server up and running again and enjoy, any help at all would be appreciated guys, and thanks.
Re: Restoring from SQL Dump problem
No the only problem is that sqlyog has an option 'Create Bulk Insert statements' when you make a dump-file of the DB.
If this option was checked when creating a dump-file of the database it wil take a LONG time, but it will work after 20-30 minutes, to insert the statements in the new database.
When it is left unchecked the file is done in a time of minutes.
And there are a lot of databases created like that on this site.
(Navicat has no such option)
Re: Restoring from SQL Dump problem
Ok then thanks for clearing that up but what your saying is i should just wait 20 - 30min
when it seems to freeze?
Secondly, is there any way to speed this up?
Re: Restoring from SQL Dump problem
Yep, waiting. And no, there is no way to speed this up.
Counter will stay still and every 5 a 10 minutes he will make a jump.
