Creature loot tables

I didnt see any post on this when i scrolled through so I thought I'd ask. I created some bosses on my server and some custom loot, however I am having a hard time getting the bosses loot tables to work. By the way, I am using SQLyog. I created my creature in the creature_names and creature_proto tables. From there I created my weapons and stored them in the items table. All very simple. The next thing I did was fill out the creatureloot table by putting in the entry ID, creature ID, item ID, and drop percentage. When I restarted my server, spawned and killed the boss, all I got to drop was some gold....no items. Anyone able to help me out?

There was also a table for creaturespawntemplate that is similar to the creature_table but has different indo in it.

I also heared there was a way to change skin colors of gear but havent been able to find anything. Anyone know the nakme of this porgram and where I can find it?
