[HELP] server setup assistance please:)

ok so i searched these forums over and over and cant find anything that helps me
im tryin 2 set up a lan server.
i used one pc (ip 10.1.1.6) for the server, the new server release,
i made the hotuk.ini for EuPT n 10.1.1.6 etc
then i did the ldata.bmp and the ptreg.rgx on that pc. started server, the client there didnt work so i came down to this pc and set up the registry and the ldata.bmp and the ptreg.rgx yet it still gettin conn failed. i made the user account n thats all right so why am i still getting conn. failed?
i tried 3 dif clients even. O.o

is the ip also hidden somewhere in the hex or something?

[edit] in the sql.dll there are a bunch of ips that are like 222.xxx.xxx.xx etc
do i replace them with my ip?

ok i tried removing the sql.dll and it jus removed the delay time between typing in my password and getting "conn. failed"

uhm if any1 has a clue plz can tell me?

theres a couple things you can do to prevent con failed

1: edit the ptREG inside the client folder
2: edit ldata and registry
3: the LAN ip is 127.0.0.1 try that one
4: Make sure to edit the SQL.dll or just remove it
5: check the ODBC make sure its c8master and make sure its set to accountdb NOT ACCOUNT_DB

and yes replace the SQL Ip's in there with 127.0.0.1

well for me its 10.1.1.6 but i no wot u mean,
i did all but the ips in the sql. lol notepadding it.

still no luck, instant conn. failed

i used the acc creator to create my acc's wif chars but i dno how 2 set a password and it just wont connect :(
