Was just browsing around for some nice cam footage when i stumbled across this. If its disabled or not configured your pc auto reserves 20% of your internet/network bandwidth for things like automatic updates. Tbh i think thats quite alot, 1/5 of your connection you cant actually use! Just thought you guys might like to try it aswell, seems silly not to really.

It's aging but i totally forgot about this, i'd like nopeace to check this out since i can remember the restriction only kicking in when downloading updates.
Is this only for vista?
Doesn't work for XP Home.

to be honest with cable, I probably couldn't tell a different unless I was using something like flashget or utorrent/bitcomet. Now connecting to websites from foreign countries (like japan, korea, china...mmo purposes maybe?) it's a nasty ping.

never knew about this, done it nether the less. dont see much of a improvement though. like someone mentioned maybe it only takes effect while downloading windows updates etc.
