Im thinking of trying one of these. which one would be better. that is less bugs, uses newer patches, is updated/fixed more often? Sorry for the newb question. just would like to know before i invest allot of time and find its the lesser of the 2. any constructive input would be helpful. thanks.
i use ascent because it easier for new users....thats why i used it MaNgOs is more complicated trust me...
easyier is definitly a bonus. I hate sql but i want to have access to some of the newer stuff.

stable is good. I use wowemu right now. I love it because its stable as hell. I have had my server running for a month with no problems. Its easy to use. I can spend more time learning about altering wow stuff and less time how to use the server. but i want to try a new one. see how it goes. thanks for all the help.

i would prefer ascent over mangos. you see alot more people with problems using mangos than ascent. ive never actually tried mangos. ive used ascent and antrix. both great and easy to use, but ive seen alot more complaints with mangos.
im thinking ascent then. is it easy to add items critters and quests?
yea. you can add npcs and such ingame if you know what your doing. and its really easy for items.
ascent is also much easier to update (whether you're actually updating or tricking your server into thinking it's updated)
I'd say Ascent can hold more players and still have a nice stability, while MaNGOS cant, but MaNGOS has better features as far as I know.
For small server i would go for MaNGoS between 15-30 players would be save and also prety stable .
For bigger server i would recomend ascent .

Both have their pro's and con's :sad:
MangOS has good DB but bad stability.
Ascent has good Stability but a bad team to develop.
Mangos can be pretty stable too :tongue:
