Hi guys i need to know if i am overweight i am 1.72 tall and 75kgs and 15 years old?i think i am coz everyone in my class allways calls me fat (we dont get alot of fat people in SouthAfrica) and i need to know if i am coz if yes i need to loose weight :( i realy need help :( i am getting so angry >.< so plz tell me :(

Alternatively, just look at yourself. If you've got titties then you're either female or fat.
If people are calling you fat, then it's pretty much a sign that your overweight. Start working out, running and exercising. Eat healthy, not chips/cookies/more chips/snickers.
Just wear outfit like fat joe and everybody would suddenly arselick you o.o

I think of fat to be closer to the connotative meaning. A feeling of being overweight or of being accused of being fat.
But it depends on the problem you're trying to rectify. Do you want people to stop calling you fat or do you want to be healthy?

Ah, it's no big deal even if you are actually fat. Nothing special, I'm fat too. Just go and exercise at a local gym, like I do. Trust me, it helps to loose weight like a muddafukka :D
Depends really on your build type.
I mean, I'm not skinny, but I'm not overweight. Yes, I may have some luvin' on me, doesn't mean It's not normal though :p
Btw, work out your BMI. That'll tell you if you're overweight.
I'm something like 19-21 (Can't remember which) with a weight of around 75-80 and 190cm.

Your shouldn't really give a shit of what people think of you.
If someone was to say "Oh you seen that developer of WoW, yeah he's massive" and if that really got to him and he stop developing things and he was dedicated to that team it would be a MASSIVE loss for blizzard.
If you hate your weight then you should start working out. Since your 15 i reckon you should go join a sports club in your school if they have one. That way you get reputation either way good or bad; people still talk about you therefore you're liked in some way. Thats how i look at it.
If one was to say to an other "Yeah, greg's jokes are shit" and they kept on carrying on with that during my duration on this board then that makes me popular right? For having shit jokes.

My BMI is 18.8 and i was standing by tommy so yeah, it was his, not me.

Also, I was fat then I started to lose alot of weigh. I got muscles now and do semi-daily excerise and started participating in school sports.
Before, I couldn't see my ding willy dee doo pee poop but, now I can see it even when I try to be fat as possible. Or my penis grew longer.

Formula: Body weight (kg) / height squared (m)
Norm for Males: 20.1 - 25.0
Norm for Females: 18.7 - 23.8

i weigh 70kg, 1.83m tall.
70/(1.83^2) = 20.9 n im pretty skinny lol

I'm 5'5 17 years old and have never seen over 110 lbs.
im 1.74 m and weight 78 kg. and im just little fat, its about the body complex. i spent 1 year and 6 months going to run 5 days a week and 3 days to gym, before get sick and lose 15 kg. but never weight less than that. no matter how well i eat or how much exercise i did. sometimes its just ur body. (yea weighted 93 kg) now im... healthy but cant do excercise right now. (heart sickness)
even when in past when i got almost 95 kg no one calls me fatty. maybe cozz i dont have very good temperament
btw im honest with myself (contrary of most of the people here in the forums). im little overweight so what, people can hit me for hours and im still on my feet.

And go easy and dont call yourself fat. You can start a diet and have a proper intake of food and cut down on the weight. If that aint happening all by yourself, you can just hire a instructor or a health practitioner..

If you question if you're overweight....you probably are...
your BMI is slightly overweight...if you want to lose it..start running.

Oh, and it has nothing to do with your genetical influence, its just how you eat. if you get your flesh from the supermarket and buy lot of sugar products you can get fat. Or you need to sport, before its too late, else your bones wont let you run and stuff if it gets worse.
Every pound goes through the mouth, as we say in dutch :P. (but than its a rhyme :P).
Oh, and its very difficult to loose weight, so start early, go to a sportschool or run everyday and watch what you eat :) good luck :)
BMI is a waste of time, can be a rough guide but it's bollocks mostly
im 178cm and 62kg, im in pretty good shape with about 6% body fat as i sit here typing, bmi would give me a false reading.
you're much better off judging your fitness or health with real measurements, do you get out of breath walking up a hill etc? can you fit into your pants? etcetc

it seems you just have a low metabolism, big deal, just excercise a bit more at the gym as stated
as for me, I;'m lucky, no matter how much crap I eat my metab keeps up (well for my age right now 17 1/2) anyways I try and gain weight constantly and I lose it somehow. Though, when walking home (since I live close) I walk 3 miles with a 25lb backpack every day monday-friday. So I guess I'm not suprised. Just excercise more is the point and be happy with your body figure
Yeah, with some willpower it isnt difficult to loose weight, agreed. But if you ARE loosing weight (diet), ppl get stronger and stronger signals from the stomach, which is hard to resist. However, sporting (to loose calories) is for really fat ppl a hard job, because their bones cant have that weight, and thus they get in a vicious circle where they can barely come out.Quote:

Hehe, what this forum needs is an automatic calculator for lengths and weights. So with tags you say the value is in meters and if you (english man or other country where they use inches/feets) would see the post you would see it in inches/feets.
If he'd posted it in feet/inches I wouldn't know how tall he'd be loller.
FYI: 1.72 meters is 68 inches and 5.64 feet. metric conversions - online conversion calculators, charts and metric formulas
