Our school like most have Web Sense to block certain sites. Also, Firefox is installed, but it doesn't connect (so its not allowed). Anyone know a way to get past Web Sense or allow Firefox to connect. Proxies used to work, but most sites are blocked. Basically, just get passed websense, or allow programs access to the web.
Just thought I'd ask, bored in VB right now.
I think they block stuff by keywords.
Lot of proxies get blocked.

Screw DNS that's how it works.
Just delete yoru DNS settings and go directly to the IP address.

My school is like yours. you cant get on to anything. but the problem with mine is that everything we do is monitered. its really stupid.
our school went as far as installing VNC on every computer ffs. its real annoying to be working on some assignment then have some random person lag out your computer by getting on vnc to check what you're doing.Quote:

oru school just uses cameras that aren't monitored during the day, and uses the districts blocker ffs, is it really necissary to watch all of us other than have them on during the night?!
At our school people play LAN games of CS (1.6) all day, and nobody cares.
Web Sense works by blocking all sites and allow only accepted sites, does it?
no, it blocks out categories. for instance, if "Entertainment" is a category a website is in, it wont let you on it.Quote:

You can't. I said in my topic it restricts all programs from accessing the internet or a connection unless they allow it. And IE is the only one. So it does not work.Quote:
