[PC] Control Games with your Mind
Introduceing OCZ's NIA (Neutral Impulse Actuator)
Wow I couldnt believe it when I read this in a magazine just a while ago, I had to share it with everyone here.
Pretty much you use your mind to controll the keystrokes of games mainly UT2004, All you use is this strap that goes around your head that measures nerve cells, assigning gameing commands to particular sets of nerve cell changes.
It said in the magazine that it should be in the market in less then 12 months for a starting price of around $300 (USD im guessing)
I looked it up on youtube and found the video, enjoy.

It's not about being lazy, it's about the awesomeness of playing a game with your mind.

Re: [PC] Control Games with your Mind
That would be so wicked. :D
But how the hell is it possible? Either way, this opens some serious new doors for Virtual Reality.

Re: [PC] Control Games with your Mind
If you were to control an FPS game with your mind you could manipulate the aim to heads only and thus creating easy headshots, isnt this somewhat to botting with your mind?
and what about the reactions time with your hands?
as Ensiferous said, "have we really gotten lazy?"

Re: [PC] Control Games with your Mind
Go look at the real website OCZ Technology | Welcome!
The guy who created it has a Ph.D in Neurobiology and Physics.
Also it works more on reflexes not what you think. So you cant think *headshot* lol
Its more like *ahh person shooting, turn fire*

Re: [PC] Control Games with your Mind
looks pretty sick. if this is true and its coming then i'm so getting it. unless its expensive. It'd be awesome to play some tetris with that :P. nah i'd use it for zelda or halo.

Re: [PC] Control Games with your Mind
I think it would improve my tetris alot though :P

Re: [PC] Control Games with your Mind
I just find it hard to believe that something can capture your brain pulses and turn them into i/o for computer games.
-
Re: [PC] Control Games with your Mind
I suppose the brainwaves for thinking "left" or "right" are different enough to isolate and identify :P But thinking about a spot on the screen and fire a gun at it? Nono..

Re: [PC] Control Games with your Mind
It seems a bit dangerous if anything were to occur.
