Am a amuteur,i had started the proccess of making my server,but i have few doubts please clear them,

1. Yes you can play the game on the same pc you are running the server provided you have high system configs(RAM, GFX Card)
Requirements for server + client are already discusses and posted on forums

2. 1.20 Files are very old. You wont find a client for them. Just make 202 or 205 server. Server files are posted in stikies!

3. Your System Configs are "NOT AT ALL ENOUGH!'

All what is important is your memory. You need to have minimum of 1 GB ram to run the server and client with Grinta and some other maps off!

For full functionality you need to have 2 GB or more!

Recommended specs are already posted plz go through them!

Graphics Card Not Bad! Only Ram upgrade is needed!

Get @ Least 1 Gigabyte Ram
If You Want Other Players TO Play @ Least 512 KbPs INternet Conection for about 30 players online
Graphic card Is Ok But If You Want 2 Run A3 Client For More than 1 hour @ a Stretch Try 2 Get 256 Mb Graphic Card @least

which server files should i use so the it could be compitable with a3india or tta3's client.

and when creeps die, in some servers it brake in pieces(a3india for ex. in s1), or they fell down on the floor entirely (in tta3) ?? is this based on server files or in the client if in client which file ?

Inorder to get compatibility for A3 India and TTA3 Client you need to make 202 or 205 version server as lesser versions are incompatible with the client!

Server Files I Recommend: MyModded Server files by Raf71 (205)

The mob graphics depends upon the client. The Client exe file (a3client.exe) is responsible. The client exe file used in majority of private servers is entirely different from official one like the indian, hence you see graphics differences!

Okay 3 to 4 players ordinary 256kbps line will be sufficient unless you plan for bigger things!

Hmm. Internet speed is ok will keep u on the run!

GFX Card wont matter much! Just try lowering graphic detail if you face laag!

3 - 4 Players Even play lagless on 64 kbps :P
+ 1 more tip - the zoneserver files in raf71 modded files contain V. V. High Drop Rates if i am not mistaken.[g10 evry where o.0] - Try 2 use zoneserver from 202serverfiles (simple) - it always works and can be edited
1 more thing 2 tell if u play from ur own server pc - on your own server - it CONSIDERABLY slows down other players n they lagg like hell - i have experienced it.

ARA3 Client is also posted in forums download that if you want it!

Regarding the Raf71 Zoneserver, Yes they have high drop rate and bosses drop g10. Just use Zonedata from Hyoja 205 Zoneserver.

For better results disable firewall, antivirus, Windows Tweaks and all sorts of byteloaders off the pc and run the game in lowest graphic detail possible!

Do 2.02. 1.20 is just sucky.

My server is modded By Raf71, using client by (5.23), .....

Internet speed by 1M, 600k upload real time ...

Players in general Online Average (24 ~ 36 week), by generating just 1-Player using 18k upload (ZoneAgent)
Max server supports user in 100 online players using 600k upload server real .....

Now, using a host of 100mbits, capacity of 700 user online .....

But to use all this capacity also depends on the configuration of the PC

Minimum would be 4 GB RAM (* all maps, include Epci IV & V ) ...

But tell me how do you calculate that each player is using 17k of bandwidth??

1) i have microsoft SQL server 2005 i cannot find the options which are given in the guide by legendary.:yuk1: do i have to download microsoft SQL 2000 only ??

2)secondly all dudes,brothers please tell the exact server file's which will work on the tta3 or a3 india's clent, does A3HojaServer205 files work on any client i prescribed ?

3) which client does the ralf moded server files work,(got no problem with the files configuration)does it wrk on any of the prescribed clients ? by me abhove i'e (tta3 or a3india)

4) Is microsoft registry necessary when we have microsoft SQL server 2005. IF YES FROM WHERE CAN I DOWNLOAD IT ?

5) WHICH version is (a3servereng)A3client S.E, for [A3/Index] ?

Do not mention stuff like this coz you are not the only 14 year old hosting a server. Hosting a server following a bunch of guides aint a major deal really if you havent noticed. Every Tom Dick and Harry can get the job done. Curse yourself on not able to fix all your problems fast despite so much of guidance and help.

The DB's were made compatible for SQL 2000. They work with 2005 too. You are not able to find the options coz the interface aint really the same... Is it now?? Use 2000 coz 2005 will cause so many future DB compatibility problems and is a utter waste trying to fix them up.

The so called TTA3 client works with all the server files given in the stickies except for the 1.20 which is now old and obsolete.

A3 India client.exe is sucky and is not compatible wid any of the server files. But for a pure english client side version, you can use the data files of A3 India but the problem is that most of stuff available in 2.02 will be missing there and your client will crash every time you try and access that.

hey .. i can do it. i can make a a3 server .it isnt so easy. but if u help i can.


and if only 3 players connect my server ( for sure will because testing it. with my friends) and i play from the same pc WHICH IS SERVER WILL THEY LAG ONLY 3 PERSONS WILL CONNECT TO MY SERVER.

Hmm not really. If you got more ram they dont laag. If you got a good internet connection then the laag the players receive could be because of the Zoneserver. The zoneserver requires more free ram to function correctly and as you run out of ram the zoneserver gives M_L=0 Loops and ultimately creates laag for everyone in the server.

If you got any query then U.T.F.S.B* and then if you dont find relavent solution then go ahead and post it here.

PS: If you are inside India and need assistance in setting up server i can help you by remote assistance and setup a server in ur PC

and sql2ksp3.exe from here
Download details: Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Service Pack 3a

Is it right?

Just mention where the error is occuring. Is it during the Installation? If so please tell which screen is it coming.

Just open a text file in Notepad. Copy the contents and then save the file with extension .Reg. Run that file and your ODBC entries are set!

The contents of the folder varies from a server file to another. You need not concider them seriously!
