As with Far Cry, Crysis will be an open-ended game, with many ways to meet objectives. An addition to the previous Far Cry formula is that any weapon may be modified with devices such as suppressors, telescopic sights, and targeting lasers.

The protagonist, Jake Dunn, is also capable of being modified, as he wears a military prototype "Nano Muscle Suit." The suit is capable of four modes: armor, strength, speed, and cloak. These modes allow him to absorb and heal damage, lift and throw heavy items and enemies, reload and run faster, and become partially invisible and reduce noise output, respectively. Due to the ability of constantly regenerating health in armor mode, the game will be completely devoid of first aid kits. All of these actions, however, use rechargeable energy reserves that power the suit; energy is recharged most quickly while in armor mode. The suit can be modified in-game to meet the playing style of the player.

The artificial intelligence (AI) in Crysis also aims to be realistic and believable. Enemy soldiers constantly employ tactical maneuvers, work as squads, hide and ambush amongst the scenery, and adapt to changing environments and conditions. AI soldiers will also respond to sound and subtle movements triggered by the player's movement. While not engaged in combat, the AI soldiers will also exhibit typical and lifelike behavior, such as smoking, yawning, talking, urinating, waxing cars, patrolling, saluting superior officers, etc.

Installed, played (~ 7-8 hour gametime) and finished it.

- Major cliffhanger on the end.
- Way to short.

Graphics are the only thing good about this game, the end. (did I mention far-cry clone?).

Crysis hasn't been released for retail sale yet. Also why do people keep saying "ZOMJ FARCRY CLONE!!!1one1!" of course it's just like farcry, its by the same devs.

Read the new guidelines, and since there were several topics on them, i figured this would be easier.

And yeah... New drivers are spoused to come tomorrow for it so hopefully it will run better then it did on the Demo.

Negative, you'll be disappointed (dont read on, might have put to much info, but cant find any spoiler tags??).

- Lots of bugs (have to reload several levels just to finish it cause enemies don't move/freeze).
- Suit is fun, but after a few shoot-outs you get bored.
- There's no 'freedom', as what has been promised. Get messages telling you to return to battle grounds, else you'll be destroyed in 3 seconds (lame as hell).
- If you rush this game you'll finish it in 6-8 hours tops. For an over hyped game like this, that's way to short (ea promised ~20 hours remember??).
- No real ending (worst cliffhanger ever).
- AI is weird, and messed up. Enemies come from spots that were empty before (teleports, wormholes??), cept that.. try to hit them. I've literally emptied 3-4 clips on guys that were still moving as if I shot with blanks (and no, those were regular enemies, not they 'others').
- Needs way more variants of enemies, specially on the 'alien' part. There's only 2 different ones, and you see them over and over.
- Remember footage regarding a major nuke exploding in a town, and you get the shockwave over your arse? Not there........
- The whole Winter epi? ~5 mins tops

Even on a sli 88 ultra + 3 ghz quad and 4 gb mem, you'll not be able to put this game on highest settings. In XP you can get the bloated DX10 features (very high), but still some are left on low/med to have a 'decent' fps of around 20~30 (thats on 1680 * 1050). Far Cry literaly owns this game..

But to spend 3 grand to play this at it's best, lol.. crytek been smokin crack that's for sure. Graphics are not everything in a game, but I guess they thought it was.

You do realize that every game has bugs on launch. And do you know that nearly every game has a patch for launch date to fix those bugs?

A game is RTM a month before it's released and in that time they begin to work on a patch to fix those bugs.

Now since you are playing an illegal copy before the launch I wouldn't be surprised to see that it's full of bugs as you don't have the launch day path. ;)

And for the AI. There is nothing wrong with it at all. I've played with it loads in the Editor. The pathing and decision making of the AI is amazing.

If the NPCs are too hard then you know what you can do about it? Go into the editor and edit the NPC stats.

And I take it you don't really know how good hardware runs that game. I'm running the unoptimized demo on dual 8800 GTXs and a 3ghz quad. The worst thing about it is that it only works with one GPU but even then it's very playable. 20-25 FPS is playable you know. What do you think movies are shot at? 24 fps.

If you are to run that game with dual Ultras it's very playable. Especially when the new nVidia drivers comes out for the game. Which is due out tomorrow.

As for the shallow depth of the story... That isn't what they was going for. This game is the benchmark for games to come. It utilizes the most advanced graphics and physics. So it makes a starting point on what games should be. Just like how Gears of War has made the benchmark for the x360.

the review for crysis just came out it got a 9.5
the only thing that was "bad" in the game was that the single player story ended
and that there was no team deathmatch.

cliffhanger is probably meant for crysis 2, they might be making a sequel depending on how the game sells

I played multiplayer beta and the demo, and I found the multiplayer much better than the solo mode. I dont know but the AI is not really smart and yea except the graphics, I'm quite disapointed. Waiting Far Cry 2 and maybe Crysis 2.

Did the demo ... looks ok, but I didn't really like it.

my computer can't run it lol. When I clicked the "optimize settings" in the options for crysis, it said "warning, setting everything to LOW" xD. I am buying a new computer, though. mmm new computer xD and just for this too (well I want to play hl2, fear, oblivion, etc. on high settings :P)

Would be awesome if it said "Dude, did you really think you could play this game on that piece of shit?"

Anyway my brother got it, still need to see it though, i wonder how it will work on a 7900GT.

The game is full of bugs.
They should've put more time in the physics.

Fighting games are becoming boring and boring.
There's nothing special in current and incoming fighting games.
What's coming better ? Graphic ? Music ? and ? Nothing else.

There is always same point - defeat as many monsters as you can. Kill as many people as you can.

I know, I know - this type of games is based on killing and reaching maximum score, but why the hell it is so boring ? Quests are always based on:
"Get xx item from xx"
"Kill xx monster xx times"

and nothing else.

What else can I say ?
Nothing's special.

It will look awesome. The game on low settings looks bloody amazing. Just when you crack it up higher and higher it becomes even more amazing.

What are you talking about?

1) It's not a fighting game. It's a 1st person action game.
2) This isn't a quest based MMO

Why not actually look at the game and you'll know what it is. Then how about playing it.

Going back to what NoPeace said...All first releases have bugs and problems, theres no exceptions...that i know of. And there is no argueing how good this game looks.

I get around 10-15 frames on my computer (6800 gpu may explain that.)
