It takes longer than that. And no, you dont want to cancel the update because you need the files, otherwise it wont run properly.

I got 512 cable and it still takes longer than 3-4 hours to update.

I got roadrunner and it takes ATLEAST 2 hours, usually 3 - 4 hours :P...
Yes, it's painful, but if you stop, you can continue off of where you were last time. And leon is right, if you want to play, you better update.

Update server have Speed limit for updating game so even 100mb/s wil update 2-3h:D(I think)

Wtf? I didnt take that long to update my client. Mabye like 30 mins tops. It even lost connection twice so I had to start from the last file I downloaded.

how do you start to the last file its downloading? it always say server may be down and it disconnects always on that particular file, its downloading a certain map, how do i start on the last item i downloaded???

I dont downloaded any files.My friend downloaded evrything and puted in CD and i only instal game and put his updated game on mine :P

Depend on your internet connection, in my case it would takes around 20 minutes with 100Mbps VDSL.

its actually all a conspiracy from the people who made L2 so they cant make private servers.Basically what the patches does is download a 1 mb file over and over again, util you have downloaded a fixed amount.The only way to bypass this is to delete the folder named "windows"

i get the same shit.. auto-update starts checks 6 files and downloads C:\Game\LineageII\Animations\0.rtp file that takes like half hour but always i get the damn error when that file is downloading or sometimes i wait like 1hour, that downloads it goes to other file but like 5min pass n i get the same update server down... If i start the updater again it downloads the same file 0.rtp. This shit suxx there r many ppl wif this problem, supose i wus going to p2p for this game, they cant make a p2p game with this update error, anyway that fukers lose cash, they cant have their player that will pay their game with problems,its not a fukin beta, n it seems its a common problem. I dun think its something that the admins do to prevent ppl from doing a private server cause... how can they know your purpose, maybe the game can detect the files on your pc but.. u first update the game and then download server files, so if u wer goin to p2p u would get same shit. There r some lucky ppl also that could update it. Pls if there is a link for the update post it.
