[HELP] Snow and Christmas Tree

I have been able to setup a A3 Server using RaGEZONE. Thankyou very much all of them and the guides posted on the forums are very good indeed! Special thanks to cvrdheeraj for the GMTools, made the server administration very simple.

I just need some info about server. I want to add Snow and Christmas tree to my server as Christmas is approaching. In addition i want to add Snowmans. I have read past topics that Snowman is not included in Episode III so please if anyone has implemented it, please provide me with the NPC files and provide me config help.

Snowfiles are different. They are a part of the client. Sadly, I dont have a copy of them with me .... Maybe some other member has.... YagMik .. If I remember, has the snow files.

ahhh... its almost christmas.. A3India will update its client files to snow.. :P u can use those files .. & i think i have a server files tht i had modded long ago to snow ^_^ i have to search :(

Strange that I never bothered to collect the snow version of the files... 0.o

Well Snow and Christmas tree with Snowmans is updated in A3 India Client. The A3Client.exe was updated! I dont have much idea regarding these cos i never worked with them!

Check the current A3 India data folder. You'll find all need... Cough cough ... Quanato is 7 ..Temoz is ... you know... :P

Hmm i can see 7.map and 7_c.map which i suppose is the texture file for the Christmas snow. Well if i change the name and use "_c" files instead i get a fake christmax tree with missing textures and the worst part is that it doesnt snow at all!

hmmm.. so what to edit in client for getting snow

@cvrdheeraj ... chk ur system time, may be its 2 months back :P cuz its not Dec in ur system thts y its not snowing... just joking l0l

although u can get the "fake" snow using the map files....
the "real" snowing can be achieved only through hexing A3Client.exe.....
im not sure how to hex it but im sure that u have to add a few bytes about the 07c.* and 01c.* files from the data folder into the A3Client.exe....

i don't know how it works but i compared the normal ara3 a3client.exe and the one that they provide with tta3...
the size is different ...obviously...and they have these 72 extra bytes which have 07c.* and 01c.* files mentioned where they have mentioned other .trn .bgss etc files...

Err yes coz those are the main texture files???

Concider the Indian Server! They have updated only 1 file and that is A3Client.exe. Hence it is clear that the texture files are already present in the clients we use and only thing that differs is the A3Client.exe file which might be responsible for snow effect as Ekoar said! I am trying to look for some more bytes in hex so that i can fix it up. I have tried using the TTA3 Client exe file but i dont know why it doesnt work with my server, it freezes at Connecting....

i think anything must be edited in the client only.. as we change the IP ..may be

Yag4mi2k is having the Snow and Xmas files. I have seen them in some of his server screenies. It will be really good if he shares them!!

And second issue is the Snowmans. Anyone implemeted them???
