Is video-game addiction a mental disorder?
:sweatdrop Video game addiction is not a mental illness.
Is video-game addiction a mental disorder?
Our brain senses, thoughts and feels to help us live. It interprets all these signals and process them so that we could perform certain neccessary actions or tasks.
Our online lives are just digital images that we make and gaming mentality is another cloned state of mind. As games and the gaming mindset take over our digital lives so can it creep into the real world . The online life becomes more appealing than the real life. Addiction may become a critical factor and one that destroy your real self.
Don't be a game addict be YourSelf again .
Ask yourself this again :- Video game addiction is a not mental illness.
What is your say ?

Addicting to me means, you can't stop. As in, you want to, but you just can't, or else you'll go crazy, or along those lines. Get what I'm saying?
I don't understand how anyone can find any game addicting. Man should have enough power in him to stay off a video game, even if it is ub3r l33t. Now, coming from me, I play Playstation 2-3 Hours a day, on average. I love my game. I really wouldn't stop playing it if I didn't have to. I lose interest after a while, just not in the mood. People who get 'addicted' apparantly have no lives, no offense to anyone, and just can't control themselves, which I find is immature.
You can probably figure out the rest I think from what I said above.
Just my opinion, don't flame for me thinking what I want to.

And thats why the world didnt create all mans equally. if we all are to be like that heck....and yes listen to weird al's "your pityful" at youtube. and yes if your addicted to online gaming you have no life what so ever. i mean mmorpg players definitly have no life even if they pretend to, i bet they play 24/7. unless your one of those people that shares account.
video game addiction is a mental illness and soon itll be physical. i learn from it and its not kool when you got out and play football with your firends and they catch a ball like nothing while you struggle like hell just to try to catch one. or you always ask your friends to copy their homeworks.......ahem....yea.....its hard to overcome video game addiction...but im not those hardcore gamers like some poeple...if i was some of them i flame on this post...LOL

You shouldn't assume stuff, while it's definetly something that happens, even on a large scale, there are also a lot of people (the majority) who do have a life.

I dont think so buddy. Just coz you're addicted to an online game does not mean that you have to sit down 24/7 seven on it. Leveling and etc might take time to happen but will happen eventually. I do play MMO's and trust me I have a more active social life than you can ever imagine.
Well, I gotta compensate sleep if I need to manage both gaming and life, but I guess everything has a price.
