Thats 3rd time COD has won the game of the year :) i dont know if they won it with UO or not, but i havent played crysis so i wouldnt know :D
alright CoD4 is awesome and all, but i do not think it deserves GOTY. I mean there was just so many other games that impacted me more and that i got way more into. I played all of CoD4 at my friends house in one day and then played a bunch of multi a few days after that. It is fun and looks good, but not the most amazing game this year.
Well the Gamespot one you can still vote on it. But all in all. Call of Duty 4 is the best game to come out this year. It was near perfect and I haven't played a game nearly as good as it.
The next best game would have to be Mario 64 or Final Fantasy 7. It's been years since a game of it's quality to come.
Crysis is good but not as polished as CoD4. Not to mention Crysis is unplayable to 99% of PC gamers. So that hurts it a lot.
Other then that there have been quite a few great games this years. Portal, BioShock, Assassins Creed, Mario Galaxy and World in Conflict are all great games. When I mean great games they are truly games that you can remember. The design of them and the whole thing is just polished beyond anything else and it makes them amazing.
Some other good games were Halo 3, Rock Band, Forza 2, the other Orange Box games, and Supreme Commander along with some others. They were all good but not nearly as great as the others. They had good things about them but they did have their flaws.
2007 will go down as one of the best years in gaming history. So many amazing games to come out this year.

CoD4 is overrated, its fun but its very repetative, especially with all the other fps games out there. The Orange Box? what the hell, I thought all the games made by Valve are shit. Half-Life 1 wasn't bad but damn... Bioshock, now that should deserve GOTY. Best storyline i've ever seen in a game.
Bioshock lacks some serious value imo, while games like CoD4 will give you nearly unlimited hours of fun, Bioshock is done in like 15.
Call of Duty 4, The Orange Box (especially love TF2) and Mass Effect are my favorites this year so far, and i don't think there are any games out there that would beat that, as i got most major titles.
