Requesting help for client incompatibility
Hi all, I am a GM working with Legendary, I require some assistance in the implementation of new maps into the current 2.02 server.
Firstly, I would like to ask, when implementing the new epi 4 and 5 maps, will the ARA3 Client work with it? currently I am undergoing tests with it but however, when attempting to access the new maps using the ARA3 client, the program terminates and displays a "Corrupted Client, Please reinstall" error message. I have taken the 44. files and placed it in the zonedata/map folder exactly as stated in iNs@ne's thread. Also, I have placed the 44. files from the Korean 5.20 client to the ARA3 client but it does not seem to work either.
I devised two ways of trying to solve the problem, using the ARA3 executable with the Korean data files resulted in graphical bugs such as G10 being displayed as G7 and crashing everytime I enter a map other then clororence. I have to use the original ARA3 client in order to reconnect my character out of the map. The other way was to use the Korean executable with ARA3 data files but resulted in failure to connect to the login server. Is this most likely due to client incompatibility?
To those who have successfully implemented the epi 4 and 5 maps, may I also ask which client are you using?
Also, we will have to edit our teleportal NPC too or we won't be able to warp to the new maps right?

I am also a friend of Eunomia. Hopefully someone whom has successfully implemented the new maps and monsters can give a step by step guide on the process of doing it.

Well, i have used TTA3 client and successfully implemented Epi. 4 & 5 Maps, Monster's and NPC's.
If u try to use ARAIII client wid Korean 520 the game will crash... i found that there's problem with NPC n Moster's. I tried to remove all the NPC n Mobs in Temoz and then tried to login.. i was not dced thsi time.. so NPC n Mobs are making ur client crash..
Use TTA3 client for implementing Epi. IV & V maps n mobs.

You are right, I am now using the TTA3 data files. So far, we can see the maps if we use GM @GO/map xx yy to enter.
Before I go on, I must say I have read the thread Ins@ne posted. But somehow, things ain't working out for me, either I am using a wrong hex editor or something in the post I do not understand due to my lack of knowledge.
So, here are the problems which I don't know if anyone have the files and resources to let us download:
1. Teleportal npc of Clorerence :
a. Camaru is missing
b. Teleporting to the new maps doesn't work.
2. Monsters are not visible. Neither do we have the monster files to know which monster belongs to which map. To be honest, I am having a headache wondering how to:
a. Get the monsters into each map without mistake (Cause a mistake will mean it doesn't work with quest)
b. How to make monsters visible even when I get it into the map.
In short, tele problems and no monsters.
I sincerely hope for any one who have the files to please kindly allow us to use it as I have tired 6 hours in vain without any progress.

Working with Legendary....and dun know how to use the "SEARCH" thts kinda weird .... nvm, i will get to ur problems 1 by 1...
1. Teleportal NPC of Clorence : if ur meaning the NPC is not thr... then ur files have some really good problems use some other files from RZ.
a. Camaru is missing : same answer as above..
b. Teleporting to the new maps doesn't work : U have to fix it manually , cuz u cant expect to use the TTa3 setting for ur server..
2. SEARCH!!
Only 6hrs!! rofl!! Search if u cant do tht forget about working on a server!!
btw. i dun believe u anyway, have fun!!

Hi dastorm,
I don't wish for this to be a flaming thread. So I won't go about arguing and proving myself or anything. You can check Legendary's website if you have doubt, my name is there and I can ask him to log in to verify.
Either way, my response is: The teleportal npc is there, its the map list that is not showing camaru. However, bughye and the rest of the new maps are there.
I am just generally posting all the list of problems I have having on hand at this moment and am still searching through the forum for solutions as well. Pardon me but I have only started understudying under Legendary for less then a week, I can't fly in such a short period of time.

Thanks for replying, yes, we are using TTA3 client as I have mentioned in my previous post.
Now I am just having trouble getting the monsters to appear. Clueless to be exact as I don't fully understand some of the things I have read in the post regarding the monsters in those new maps.

u dont have few map supporting file and monster file in client side.for VISIBLE MONSTER u should use TTA3 or try official 5.23 kr client that is better. for server file use my uploaded file( all 4n5 maps but only 6 maps with mob.) a3fortune Profile, a3fortune Details - FileFront.com

I have downloaded Fortune's Files and placed it in the respective directories. However, it seems only bosses appears in some of the maps. The normal mobs do not seem to spawn.
Also, if we were to create our own ndt files, do we have to create all 50-100 of each monsters spawn points?

yes you have to create each and every spawn point ...
as for your camarru query all i can say is : camarru is map no. 40
check if u have hexed the WL.ull (client side) correctly...also check if the MC.ull file has map no.40 listed as camarru ... u can go about searching Benzx's old post about monster spawns and map stuff ... a lot of good info there.... ill edit this post and link it...

Thanks for those links, however I have already searched and read those threads, especially benz's posts.
So far I have used A3NDT editor to create a spawn point for map 44 (ertakin) for certain mobs.
1. 1 (Memora) X169 Y172 <<< Memora exists, I used an area skill and managed to pick up 99wz, although I did not hit anything. I have read ins@ne's thread but however I feel it might be a server side problem as well.
What I did was,
a. Create a empty 44.ndt and 44.n_ndt file.
b. Used A3NDTEditor to open 44.ndt and clicked on the first row and entered 1 169 172 30
c. Saved the file and exit. Opened xvi32 hex editor and copy pasted the entire contents from 44.ndt to 44.n_ndt.
d. Copy pasted these two files to zonedata/map folder.
e. Restarted Zoneserver.
However memora still does not appear although it can be killed.
f. I decoded MON.ull to MON.bin and changed every instance of memora to group 0 (00 00 00 00).
g. Encoded it and placed it back in a3/data folder.
h. Restarted client but still unable to see memora although still able to kill it.
2. 413 (Khainen) X169 Y180 30 <<< Khainen appears successfully and I am able to fight with it. However, upon death it does not respawn.
Also, I am unable to tell which mob is for which map. We know that Leckey, purr etc belongs to Camaru, So what's the next group of mobs that appear there? I found out that Ertakin is group 37, so how do I find out group 37 monsters, from the MON.ull file?

Hi Eunomia,
the memora u spawned was invinsible...you will have to add memora to group 0 instead of changing it...also make sure MC.ull matches both server side and client side
as for the .ndt files i did send u a mail with it

Could you explain what do you mean by adding memora to group 0?I can't seem to find anyway to add memora to the group. I've looked inside the MC.ull file but was unable to locate the location to add the memora to. I can only located 25 00 00 00 which is the group number 37 for Ertakin. I can only change the memora's group number in MON.ull

Dear all,
At this point of time, I got to admit I am not doing a very good job in understanding and getting the epi 4 & 5 maps out in time for the players on this xmas. I really don't want them to be disappointed and hereby seek anyone who can share the files with me and give me the step by step instructions on how to correctly implement them. Please, if you can share it, please do. I do not wish to fail the players on my first task as a GM. But I wont take the files for granted and will continue to learn manually how it is done so next time I can do it myself.
I thank anyone in advance who can help in this as time is not on my side at this very moment.

1. Before I proceed, my sincere apologies for the double post. It wasn't intentional as I was only trying to constantly update my progress to see if anyone can guide me. So sorry as I am very new to all these and have only offered to help Legendary just a week ago as he is too busy to deal with so much. So inorder not to repeat the same mistake, I am going to section this post with time/date stamp for each update I make.

2. I have tried the game client, its fabulous. Thank you. Read the links you posted so far, get a rough idea of the overview of the entire matter. (But I seriously beginning to realize I suck at this and have a long way to go.)
I am not sure if I manage to make any improvements, but this is what I have got so far:
3. MAPS
Clorence Teleportal list shows: seedhe, skygate, spatokia, grandia, ertakin, bu gui lu, hilldto, seapel, you pandi.
We only managed to use @GO/map xx yy command to enter: (42) Spatokia, (43) Grandia, (44) Ertakin, (48) Seapel. So in short, there is only 4 new maps known to us.
4. MONSTER
In Seapel, we found it surprisingly that there are 12 monster types in that map! The monsters found are attached in the first attachment : allinonemap.gif
In Spatokia, Grandia, Ertakin, we ended up with only 1 or 2 monsters as shown in: otherthreemaps.gif
5. So the problem now is:
a. I know from projecta3 website that each map should only contain 4 types of monsters. How do I make these monsters spawn in their correct maps.
b. The spawn coordinates will be a big headache. And I believe even when I am done, it won't make it in time for Christmas. I am hoping if anyone has fixed problem (a) and have done the spawn point files that can share with our server. Cause I seriously dread disappointing the players T_T

Pertaining to the previous post (a) about the monsters in the wrong map. I have so far managed to try the following experiements:
1. Experiment
Copied the coordinates and spawns of Sepel which had the 12 monsters, into map 44 Etarkin.
2. The result
Normal monster did not show up. Only 3 types of bosses showed itself. I do not understand why the normal monsters didn't show. Snowman did show up though.
a. My only theory is, it may have to do with the actual map itself instead. Cause the same spawn coords were used in Etarkin but it only allowed bosses to show. So did the map itself somehow disallowed the monsters?
Appreciate anyone that can enlighten me on this matter. It feels like I am so close to getting it but time is running out.

most mobs have 2 npc codes
1 is map group
the other is group 0 which is universal
ur memora is invinsible as memora is a monster exclusive to group 1
For instance, u try spawning khainen using npc 98 and it will also appear invisible
you will have to use npc 413...same goes for memora

Thanks for taking the time to reply this thread. As I am not well verse in this issue, I may need abit more guidance from you.
1. As mentioned in my previous post, the monsters of all the 4 maps are now gathered in map 48.
2. Can you guide me on step by step, in terms of the technical stuff on:
a. Which file to edit
b. What is it I must edit and how to go about editing it.
c. Any other notes I need to take note or am i required send you the file to see whats wrong with it
More details will be most useful to allow me to learn more on this. Apologies for giving everyone a difficult time in teaching me.

open 48.ndt in ndteditor
it should have 12 different types of npcs id as wad u said earlier on together with their spawn locations
try using the attached MC.ull file below and try spawning the mobs from maps 47 48 49
if this doesnt work still, easier way is to change the group codes of the 12 following monsters to group 0 which can appear anywhere
open MC.bin and determine wad is the groups of the map 42 43 47 48,i believe u said earlier on it was 37...
open MON.bin or MON.ini that u have decoded earlier and find for the monsters that was in map 48 and change the group to 0
the files i provided,only the bosses were changed to group 0 as i think the monster werent as important
so u would have to change the monster to group 0 manually

Edit:i double checked the mobs in the screenshot...it in group 43...u can either change it to 37 so it can only appear in Ertakin,grandia or change it to group 0 so it can appear in any map
also attached Mon.ull with those 12 monsters to group 0 except for blue men which im not so sure if i did or not
